Heroics Philosophy

It is our assertion that humans are by nature good, creative, resourceful and whole. That a person who takes accountability and develops good practices will realize their desired results. We feel that training to move the body with strength, balance and coordination will have positive “spill over” effect into all domains in life. Heroics developed as a way to describe the action of adopting an attitude of adaptability and a commitment to learning. We are honored to serve you on your heroic journey.

Everyday is an opportunity to move in the direction towards who we wish to BE.

In reality, what this truly means is self discovery.

You already are THAT.

The process towards “becoming” is more so peeling back the layers of societal suggestion and boxes...to lean into who you TRULY are.

Follow your minds eye, let your heart be your compass, and be curious around what choices you’re “scared” to make..sometimes, these choices can be the chance you need to take to step further into you becoming more MAGNIFICENT.

ENERGY ⚡️

We are all natural wellsprings of..life!

We are naturally energetic beings.

This is a beautiful thing, as our energy “levels” can be a road map for how our bodies respond to inputs - external and internal.

Our ability to respond to stress from our environment will be best supported with a strong foundation internally.

We can 👉🏻 support our internal environment to sustain high energy levels:

💭 Our thoughts.
🥘 Our food.
💧 Our water quality.

We can 👉🏻 Move with life in away that allows us to live with our environment, adapt and be a force of nature:

🏃‍♂️ Mobility & functional training.
💨 Daily deep, diaphragmatic breathing.
💤 Optimal sleep schedule and environment.

These are all aspects of our environments internal and external that drastically effects our energy levels, and how we feel each day!

Now we ask:

How are you feeling right now?

And, Is there a consistent theme each day?

If so, perhaps there is one piece you can integrate today to shift how you feel!

A pike press:

This exercise can be deconstructed to fit any fitness level.

Attention to detail and the capacity to stabilize all of the joints involved in this movement is the requirement for progression.

Start by focusing on the alignment of the head, scapula, rib cage, spine, and pelvis.

Take a few breaths in this posture to activate the foundational muscles of the core.

The first part of the movement keep the upper body stable as you extend the legs.

At this point, if you are able to maintain the stability of the neck and shoulders, keep the neck extended as you bring your forehead to the ground.

Press away from the ground, then return you knees softly to the ground.

KEY 🔑 = Every individual is unique when it comes to how their body responds to food.

When energy levels are low, or stress levels are high - these are “peak” periods to where it’s highly beneficial to check in with what our daily intakes look like.

We can ask our bodies:

🍎 Am I eating too many sugars or carbohydrates?
🥩 Am I eating too much or not enough proteins to rebuild my cellular structures?
🐟 Am I eating enough healthy fats, (particularly DHA) to support my nervous system and hormonal balance?

Identifying where we may be reacting to food, or out of balance can be simple..but takes time.

It’s a process!

And a joyful one indeed. 👍🏼

The more we are willing to tune into our bodies responses to foods, listen to symptoms as an effect not the cause, we can eat properly for our individual energetic inputs and outputs.

Further questions on this, or dealing with low energy, hormonal imbalances or even inability to tolerate stress..We are always open to have a chat!
