I love implementing this in my practice as it’s easy, safe, reliable, evidence-based and proactive to help keep noggins as round and symmetrical as possible!

Feb 28 is so I thought I’d share my recent experience with a new diagnosis I received this week.

Working in the NICU can be emotional at times. Supporting babies through their toughest times and seeing families struggle with a traumatic hospital stay isn’t easy, especially on this bleeding heart ❤️‍🩹

But moments like today are what it’s all about.

Top left pic: Seeing one of my former micropreemie besties in NICU follow up clinic, now a year old and thriving as he crawls into my lap smiling fills my heart in a way I can’t describe 🥹

Bottom right pic: after 251 days in the NICU, battling with severe BPD and overcoming every obstacle in her way, this amazing former 25 weeker finally got to go HOME! I cried with her family, who now feel like my family after 8 months of working together every day. 😍

These are the days that make all the hard moments worth it 🤟

Since starting this account in 2021, a lot has happened in my life behind the scenes.

Spent yesterday evening at the Idaho State Capitol attending the Democratic town hall where our brave representatives updated us on the fights going on in our state and local government.

While the world feels bleak and scary right now, it helped being in a room full of like-minded constituents asking hard questions, advocating for what they believe in, and learning about how to help at many levels.

Being a liberal in a conservative state is hard, but it has inspired me to be more active and use my voice, my vote, my privilege and my platform to fight for change.

Thank you for fighting the good fight even when it feels hopeless ❤️🤟

Nothing else matters right now as our world is burning around us. History has its eyes on us, and I am doing everything I can to be on the right side of it. The side of justice, equality, equity, compassion, inclusion, and acceptance. That’s the world I want for our kids and it feels so far away right now. So I’m gonna call, protest, march, boycott, advocate, and keep helping the babies get strong so they can fix this broken world we are leaving them. 💔
