That’s what this client asked me during our first call.�
Hip pain wasn’t going away. Stretching didn’t help.�She could still run—but not at the level she wanted.

She wasn’t ready to give up racing in her 40s, 50s, or 60s.�

So we started the EmpowHER Hip Program.

🇪🇸 Spain Trip 😍

Our friends decided to get married in Stiges, Spain so naturally we said yes to flying across the country and doing everything as a group of 10 for a week 🤣

From start to finish:
· and I at the wedding venue
· But really everything started in Barcelona, exploring old architecture and hanging out at a rooftop pool
· Our group of 10 at the wedding
· The beautiful bridge and groom
· Traveling to Mallorca :)
· To see the beautiful beaches
· & enjoy a boat day
· Finally Greg and I did a side quest to Port Soller and Deia and HOLY COW it was beautiful!

Thankful to get to go AND reminder that IG is a highlight reel. Unpictured was true jet lag, getting sick, chaotic flights, questionable airbnb's, and general travel qualms.

Anybody else visit these places as well?! OR where should I go next time in Spain?!

➡️ “I felt better so I tried a longer run... now I’m back to square one.”

When my running friends find out I’m a PT, the first thing they almost always say is:
“My hips are SO tight. What stretches should I do?”

And in my head, I go straight to:
“It’s probably not your flexibility.”

Because honestly?
I’ve rarely seen hip pain in runners caused by a true muscle length issue.
It’s almost always deeper than that—things like:
🌀 Stability
🧠 Motor control
💪 Muscular endurance
📉 Load tolerance

These are the things that actually impact how your hips feel during and after a run.

So instead of giving another stretch...
I walk them through the real factors that matter.
