A great day in Seattle at the IVF lab for the Center for Reproductive Health and Fertility. We just aced our CAP inspection! 🧬🎉

A sincere thank you to our inspectors for several hours of thoughtful questions and careful review. The process was rigorous, collegial, and educational, exactly what a CAP inspection should be. These inspections help ensure that IVF laboratories maintain the highest standards for quality and patient care.

So proud of this outstanding team and the preparation that went into this moment. Love working with this group!

Here in Sarasota, Florida for the asrm_org Board of Directors Executive Council meeting.

The Executive Council is made up of the ASRM Presidential Chain, ASRM CEO and Chiefs, and the Chairs of the Finance and Publications Committees (including yours truly!). ASRM is a nonprofit organization, and these dedicated leaders volunteer their time and expertise to help guide the organization and represent our members.

Much of this important work happens in windowless conference rooms, over weekends, and in addition to our full-time responsibilities. It may not be glamorous, but it is meaningful work that helps shape the future of reproductive medicine.

I truly value the opportunity to collaborate with such thoughtful and committed colleagues. Working alongside this group continues to be a highlight of my career.

Lab outing in New York! 🗽🔐 We tackled an escape room together and made it out with four minutes to spare. True teamwork from a group that works hard and plays hard!

I’m so grateful for this incredible team at Montefiore’s Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health. These embryologists and andrologists have been by my side for years, bringing skill, commitment, and compassion to their work every single day for our fertility patients.

Love this team and all that we accomplish together. 💙🧬

I’m excited to be attending and speaking at the 21st Annual FDA and the Changing Paradigm for HCT/P Regulation conference hosted by Pharma Conference Inc., taking place April 13–15, 2026, in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

I’ll be co-facilitating an interactive, reproductive-focused workshop on FDA requirements for reproductive HCT/Ps, including donor eligibility, screening and testing, accompanying records, and labeling requirements. Through real-world case scenarios, we’ll walk through how these regulations apply in practice and how compliance directly impacts patient care and laboratory operations.

It’s always a privilege to collaborate with professionals dedicated to advancing quality, safety, and regulatory excellence in reproductive medicine.

I’m truly honored to be featured by my alma mater, the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. 💛

For over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals and couples navigate one of the most intimate moments of their lives: the dream of starting a family. This feature reflects not only my journey, but the incredible mentors, colleagues, and patients who have shaped it along the way.

From learning the foundations of reproductive physiology to leading multiple IVF laboratories and mentoring the next generation, I’ve been continually inspired by the resilience, dedication, and hope of everyone in this field. Seeing the impact of our work firsthand — thousands of babies and families — is a reminder of why this career has been such a calling. 🧬✨

To all the young scientists, clinicians, and students out there: stay curious, be resilient, and let your passion guide you. And to my mentors — especially the women who showed me what was possible — thank you for lighting the way. 💡

NEW! NEW! NEW! 📣

I’m happy to announce not one but two new collaborations.

We are building a state-of-the-art IVF clinic in beautiful Aliso Viejo, CA, called South Coast Fertility Specialists.

This all-female fertility private practice offers patients compassionate, expert-led fertility care. We are in the process of building the on-site laboratory, and we are planning to open it in mid-2026.

My second new collaboration of 2026 is with vMarsh Healthcare as an empaneled consultant for laboratory, diagnostic, and reproductive medicine.

Day 4 of the CELL Program in-person training in Livingston, NJ!

🧬 This week and next, we’re diving into essential lab principles — from equipment setup and dish prep to media prep, s***m preparation, and lab safety, just to name a few.

The scholars are fully engaged, and it’s inspiring to learn alongside them with the Clinical Applications Team at Cooper Surgical. Their curiosity, focus, and dedication are truly impressive. CELL is excelling! 💡🔬

Here is some info on the CELL program:

Here is some important info about CELL:

CELL is a structured, tuition-based, American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) - led training program that combines graduate-level didactic education with hands-on clinical embryology training, delivered over time and in partnership with your lab. It is designed to address the gap between on-the-job training and standardized, evidence-based education in embryology.

Here in Seattle with my incredible lab team at the University of Washington Center for Reproductive Health and Fertility! Even with a few travel hiccups along the way, it was a highly productive visit as we prepare for our upcoming CAP inspection.

Grateful for the teamwork, dedication, and positive energy in this lab. Happy New Year from this amazing group! 🎉🧬

Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today with a message of hope for anyone on their fertility journey. 🌟

Infertility can feel overwhelming at times, but your strength, persistence, and courage matter. Even in the hardest moments, there is room for hope, healing, and possibility.

Dr. King’s words remind us that progress often begins with small steps, quiet resilience, and believing in what we cannot yet see. You are not alone on this path. 💛

We are building something special.

South Coast Fertility is a brand-new IVF program in beautiful Orange County, California 🌴☀️ and momentum is already growing. Three fantastic REI physicians are busy seeing patients, and in just a few months they will be able to offer on-site embryology services as well 👩‍🔬🧪.

The laboratory is under construction and we are incredibly excited to bring this state-of-the-art program to life 🧬🔧.
