Regulus Counseling

Regulus Counseling A private mental health clinic, serving western Washington, also offering tele-therapy. We hope to embark on that journey with you.

Our clinicians specialize in working with First Responders, Veterans, individuals healing from PTSD and trauma, and individuals with organizational/work stress. Regulus Counseling is a private mental health clinic, serving western Washington, also offering tele-therapy to clients residing in Colorado, Utah, and Florida. Our team of clinicians specialize in guiding clients in their journey into healing from PTSD and other traumas, including helping First Responders and Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) navigate the unique stresses, pressures, and experiences associated with their career, while balancing their family lives; guiding individuals experiencing life or work stresses, in search of transformative change or re-energizing; exploring with new- and first-generation Americans in their journey of the new route in their lives. The common thread among these diverse communities: individuals embarking on their journey towards overall wellness. . In response to the unprecedented health phenomenon, our clinicians are also specialized in tele-therapy— holding sessions through a secure, confidential, HIPAA-compliant platform. Since the beginning of navigation, sailors would use the stars to guide their path during their expeditions. Within Leo the Lion, one of the oldest constellations, lies Regulus, the bright, blue star which marks the lion’s heart, as the lion’s guiding light. Regulus is also known to usher in the Spring season: the season of new beginnings. We believe counseling is a journey: when each person takes the first step in seeking counseling, he or she embarks on an individualistic expedition towards overall wellness. Like the stars— like Regulus— we are your guide in navigating your path in exploration, self-discovery, and healing, harnessing each person’s strength and courage towards personal growth; strength and courage: that of the heart of a lion. We welcome, and are dedicated in helping all individuals embarking on their journey into a new beginning. Our clinicians are licensed in the following states: Washington, Colorado, Utah, and Florida.

"Supporting a positive-spill-over effect, when people reflected on their day ‘yesterday’ they reported being generally happier and less anxious on days when they had visited green or blue spaces than when they had not."

A recent study suggests that visiting natural spaces can enhance daily happiness. Whether walking through a park or by a river, people reported better moods on days spent in nature, including those with mental health conditions like anxiety or depression.

We all have those days... some days are especially harder, sadder. But, when Dontcrossagayman videos pop up in my feed, I instantly feel better-- bestie Mischa just has that magic. I rarely recommend pages, but give bestie Mischa's page a follow-- because we all have those days.

One example to illustrate how important it is to surround yourself with supportive people, and to release the toxic ones-- even if it is "family."

"Are you okay?"

Three words can make a world of difference. Let's remember to check in with our loved ones, not just today on World Mental Health Day, but every day.

No, not the mannequin!

What we learn about life: we are always adapting. The only challenges we have are those we place on ourselves, as demonstrated by Matthew and Paul, and Mr. Maple. We're looking forward to their new book, "Mr. Maple: A Guide Dog's Life."

October is Blindness Awareness Month and an interabled couple in Seattle, whose story has resonated with millions of followers online, is stopping by Good Day Seattle.
