The reality is,

And oh, how sweet it would be to just float.
To just drift and flow and feel the freedom of getting lost in someone you trust.
To sink into the embracing arms of someone unwavering.
Someone so fiercely loyal that when you look in their eyes you see an unbreakable bond. You deserve an energy equal to your own. Someone whose ambition and drive rises
to meet you exactly where you are.
Where you’ve always been.

For so long you’ve carried the weight of unmet promises that turned into burdens.
This is not your fault.
Look how far you’ve come.
It’s easier to walk these roads alone
than it is to drag someone along.
All you ever ask for in return
are the very same things you give away freely. Stop excusing your expectations.
You deserve reciprocation.

Seizure at Bainbridge Island Safeway

Bainbridge Island police officers witnessed a transaction in process at the Safeway on High School Road. Officers conducted a controlled buy of the addictive substances from Girl scout Troop 44090. The items will be properly disposed of by Officers LeBeau and Miller. BIPD officers will continue to be on the lookout for more as we continue to keep our community safe.

Trauma caused by incompetence. Trauma that did not have to happen.

State officials missed warnings before a fire burned one boy over 75% of his body and an infant was suffocated. Now, a state error may cost taxpayers millions.

"The day Shah Alam was dropped off at the coffee shop, the area saw light freezing rain with temperatures in the low 30s. There was snow and fog over the next two days, with temperatures hovering around freezing for at least 24 consecutive hours."

The demonization of what is considered "other" in an "us vs them" mentality is extremely dangerous. Unfortunately, that is the current country we are living in.

The death of a nearly blind refugee in Buffalo, New York, days after Border Patrol agents dropped him off at a coffee shop alone, has prompted an investigation into the circumstances of his final days and drawn sharp criticism from the mayor, who called the incident “deeply disturbing.”

The investigation remains active...

Earlier today, deputies responded to Major Dave Friddell’s office after a stuffed lamb ( aka Lamby) was discovered face down on the carpet in what investigators are calling an “organized squeaker crime scene with intent to defluff.” 🐾🚔

The scene was disturbing.
Stuffing is scattered across the floor.
Lamby was fully compromised.
There were zero signs of forced entry.

After a careful analysis of the debris pattern, bite radius, and advanced snack-based profiling.

We can confirm Deputy Moby is the prime suspect. 🐾
The motive was the squeaker. It's always the squeaker.
The opportunity simply happened to be an unsupervised for 42 second window. That was enough.
And frankly, the tail wag during questioning raised additional concerns.

Deputy Moby refused to answer questions, citing an ongoing squeaker investigation, and reminded deputies he is “innocent until proven fetchable.” He then demanded belly rubs and representation.

The investigation remains active.
The carpet has been vacuumed.
Trust has been shaken.
Nap time is pending.

I have painted this little monkey with his Ikea mum - replacing his concrete enclosure for somewhere lush and green.
Zoos that exist purely for profit and entertainment are a something I absolutely do not agree with.

I couldn’t resist painting him though and it’s I heartwarming to see the little chap has been getting some cuddles from other members of the troop. ❤️

"Getting over" losing our beloved companions is never going to happen. We don't move on, we move with.

Our pets are cherished members of our family, and saying goodbye can be excruciating.
