Today officially marks 7 years of sobriety for me. 🎉

I didn’t have to stop drinking alcohol. I was highly functional, successful, motivated, and fun. But alcohol was inflicting so much internal pain and suffering; I knew I was never going to be happy with myself and as myself unless I quit.

It all started with a decision — a decision to stop suffering. Then, once that door shut, 100 more doors opened, and I just kept moving forward.

We all start somewhere. Don’t focus on how far you have to go; focus on where you are each day. And before you know it 7 years will fly by and your life will forever change for the better. ✨🙏🏼
