🧘🏽♀️ Yoga on Beacon – Member Appreciation Post 🧘🏽♀️
What first brought you to yoga?
I started doing yoga on Sundays through my CrossFit gym back in 2019. When COVID hit, I reached out to my yoga teacher, Atlee Treasure, and asked if he would be willing to teach a class via Zoom for my friends and family. He graciously agreed and led a weekly practice for a small group of us. Through Atlee, I met Allison Hardy—and that’s how I found Yoga on Beacon.
How long have you been practicing at Yoga on Beacon?
I’ve been practicing at the studio for about a year and a half.
What’s your favorite Seattle neighborhood hangout?
I love spending time in South Seattle communities—mainly Georgetown, Beacon Hill, Columbia City, and White Center.
What keeps you coming back to Yoga on Beacon?
I have arthritis in my left knee, and since starting yoga, it has really helped relieve a lot of the pain I was experiencing. The restorative practices bring me peace and help me let go of daily stress. Yoga also complements my other workouts, and I’ve noticed I’m much less sore after a tough session.
How would you describe the community here in three words?
Inclusive, welcoming, warm.
