Transition planning is intended to help students with disabilities get ready for life after high school. There is an upcoming listening session for students, families, and advocates on Aprill 22nd from 6:00-7:30pm. Your thoughts and experiences matter!
OSPI is seeking public input as part of the Transition Collaborative's Transition Services Learning Sessions.
Led by OSPI's Special Education Division, the Transition Collaborative is a group of agencies and councils working to improve transition planning and outcomes for students with disabilities. Transition services are the supports, instruction, and coordinated activities that help students with disabilities prepare for life after high school, including further education, work, independent living, and community participation.
The Transition Collaborative is seeking your recommendations to include in a report due to the Legislature in October 2026.
Listening sessions are being held in April with:
- Students, Families, and Advocates
- Educators
