Kin On We honor and support our elders and families by offering culturally Asian healthcare services. True to giving back. True to paying it forward. Their money.

Kin On was born out of a deep need and the generous support the Asian community. We were one of the first Asian language nursing homes in America and have become the inspiration for many since our inception in 1985. More than 30 years later, we continue to expand our offerings in both depth of care and the types of options we provide. Meanwhile, we are preparing for one the greatest influxes of new elders our country has ever seen. Perhaps you or someone you know will be among them? No one knows what the future holds, but our present is quite clear: Those who give; Their time. Their talents make Kin On possible. and will ensure our work for decades to come. As a community supported 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Kin On relies heavily on our community’s generosity. No matter how big or small, your contributions are vital in enabling Asian elders and disabled adults in the greater Seattle area to receive health and social services tailored to their language, culture and heritage. One way to give back to the community is to become a volunteer at Kin On! Whether it’s a few hours a day, a couple of days a month or at an annual special event, Kin On appreciates you sharing your time and talents with us. Make a difference by becoming a Kin On volunteer today! INTERESTED? A huge THANK YOU to Tony Au and the International Lion Dance Team for bringing so much energy and lucky vibes to our Rehab & Care Center and Supportive Housing last Saturday! 🦁🙌

And the celebration didn’t just lift spirits — together, we raised $1,452 to support our senior community! ✨ Every dollar helps us continue providing culturally responsive care and meaningful programs for those we serve.

At Kin On, we see every day the importance of planning ahead for long-term care.

WA Cares is Washington State’s public long-term care insurance program funded through payroll contributions. Eligible workers who meet the required contribution and care criteria may qualify for a lifetime benefit of up to $36,500 (adjusted for inflation) to help cover long-term care services.

We encourage members of our community to stay informed and explore how WA Cares may support their long-term care planning needs.

Happy Lunar New Year from Kin On! 🧧✨

Across many Asian cultures — Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and more — Lunar New Year is a time to gather with family, honor our elders, share meals, exchange blessings, and welcome a fresh beginning together.

As we step into the Year of the Horse 🐎, a year symbolizing strength, perseverance, and forward movement, we are reminded of the resilience and wisdom of the older adults in our community. Their stories, traditions, and love keep our culture alive across generations.

May the new year bring you health, joy, and good fortune! 🍊 新年快樂!

❤️ Let’s Spread the Love! ❤️

These moments are simply what community looks like at Kin On Supportive Housing.

A volunteer sharing music with our residents.
Staff and residents sharing laughter and warm conversations.
Residents smiling and holding handcrafted plush cushions thoughtfully made by our volunteers.

At Kin On, love is shown through the time we give, the connections we build, and the care we share each day.

💗 Join us in spreading the love this Valentine’s Day — by becoming part of our community, volunteering your time, making a donation, or supporting our mission to serve older adults and families.

💙💚 Spirit Week to Cheer on the Seahawks 💚💙

Our staff proudly showed their team spirit during Spirit Week as we came together to cheer on the Seattle Seahawks for the big game! From jerseys and team colors to creative themed days, the week was filled with fun and plenty of blue-and-green pride.

We wrapped up the week with a Tailgate Party today, featuring our CEO Ketty Hsieh stepping behind the grill to cook hot dogs for staff! 🌭
