Congratualtions Annalisa Thomas! We are so proud of you!
Congratulations to Annalisa Thomas for being awarded the Washington State Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year!
Annalisa is a pharmacist with Kelley-Ross Pharmacy Group and manages the downtown clinic-based community pharmacy location. She earned her Pharm.D. from the University of Washington in 2014 and then completed a community pharmacy practice residency with Kelley-Ross. During her residency, she implemented the HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) clinic, the first of its kind in the country. She continued as a part of the clinical team, providing various patient care services, and eventually moved into a management position. In this role, she has had the privilege of working with an exceptional team to develop and expand unique models for several services, including HIV PrEP, travel medicine, hepatitis C treatment, opioid overdose prevention, and, most recently, clinic events providing COVID-19 vaccinations. She has precepted dozens of students, collaborated with many community organizations and partners in public health, and has enjoyed contributing to interprofessional cooperation's innovative solutions. We are excited to celebrate her accomplishments. Congrats, Annalisa!
