Nothing works quite like music. Studies have shown that listening to music while exercising can create distraction from different stressors inhibiting your ability to exercise and/or stay active. Music can help one block out distracting background noise at the gym or discomfort from movements. It allows your mind to reset and regain focus on the task at hand.
