Panchakarma is special. It really is. It's not just a detox, it's a reset for every part of you. Ayurveda understands cleansing as a holistic and individual process that peels back layers of imbalance to allow your mind-body to return towards its natural zone of balance.

You eat nourishing foods (no fasting), take customized herbs, integrate supportive self-care rituals and cleansing practices, and realign with Nature's rhythms (your circadian rhythm) to set the stage for True health to emerge during a unique phase of rejuvenation. You come away from the process learning how to support your own mind-body better, and gaining a true understanding of the notion: 'Food as Medicine.'

There is medicine in the foods, plants, and rhythms of nature, and Ayurveda has been successfully utilizing this wisdom for thousands of years.

Book a complimentary consult with me to see if Panchakarma is right for you. Guiding individuals through this precious process is the best and most rewarding part of my job. Let's talk!

Jennifer continues her fireside chats on Pancha karma (ok maybe it's a plant side chat today). A longer video than usual, but stick with me. This process is challenging, rewarding, revealing, enlightening...a true adventure. And like most adventures, the impacts continue to unfold long after the journey. This particular adventure is in service of TRUE health, AKA svastha (Sanskrit). Svastha includes all aspects of health, not just the absence of disease. What resonates with me perhaps the most is the notion that TRUE health is being seated or rooted in your Self.

A patient of ours had labs done before and after their Pancha karma, and the results were incredible. Toxins removed. Mold removed. Inflammation gone. Amazing data, right?! But what was most impactful for this patient was the shift in her relationship to herself, to her partner, to her kids. She reported more patience, understanding, curiosity, and a newfound unwavering sense of joy. Since then, she has committed to undergoing a panchakarma once a year to maintain this invaluable gift.

One of many ways that Pancha karma works to enhance your body's strength and resiliency is using herbs like Manjishtha to regulate nitric oxide (NO) levels in the body.

In 1998 the Nobel prize was given to nitric oxide research, which discovered just how integral this molecule is in maintaining health. Labeled the "panacea molecule," nitric oxide supports vascular and lymphatic function, immune defense, nervous system communication, and wound healing by relaxing blood vessels, increasing blood and oxygen flow, and reducing inflammation.

Manjishta is particularly effective at decreasing neuro inflammation and has an affinity for clearing heat and inflammation from the lymph and liver.

Pancha karma is Ayurveda's ancient system of detoxification and rejuvenation. It is wildly unique, effective, and transformational.

Over the next month we will be sharing details of personal experience and cool insights into how and why this process is effective.

Quick morning rituals to support gut health/agni (which in turn supports whole body health), whether you're undergoing a full Ayurvedic cleanse (Pancha karma) or just wanting small tweaks to boost your vitality on a regular basis:

1. Upon waking, gently clean your tongue with a tongue scraper, not a toothbrush which can house the bacteria/toxins you're trying to get rid of

2. Brush teeth

3. Oil pull. Gently holding and swishing sesame or coconut oil for at least 10 min (use this time to do your other morning activities). When you're done, discard oil in the garbage, not your drain (avoids buildup)

4. Sip a small cup of warm water before eating or drinking anything else (a squeeze of lime or lemon is beneficial for some, to help stroke digestive fire). Warm water awakens digestion, promotes a morning bowel movement, and gently melts toxins

5. Prepare a thermos of CCF tea (equal parts of the whole seeds of coriander, cumin, and fennel). Steep for 10 min the strain. Sip on this throughout the day to further support digestion and support your natural detox pathways. If you tend towards acid reflux/indigestion, stomach ulcers, loose stools or more than 3-4 bowel movements a day, and/or skin rashes, omit the cumin as it could add unwanted heat in your GI tract.

Ayurveda is a medicine of little consistent practices, aligned with the principles of Nature. Start with one ritual and slowly add the rest. Send us your questions and experiences!

Happy New Year friends! It's 2026 and many of us are feeling motivated.or perhaps pressured to change our lives in some big way(s).

We're here advocating for small shifts in support of sustainable, lasting change. This can simply look like simplifying life or making substitutions instead of adding a new practice, herb, or supplement.

Simplifying, nourishing, and grounding are particularly supportive this time of year (we're still in Vata season in the Northern hemisphere), as opposed to frantically rearranging your life and piling on the stress of being more "productive."

Winter Ayurvedic guidance, for those visiting or living in places that are cold and dry (it might be snowy or rainy, but the air feels dry). What is happening in our outer environment is also happening inside of us (our internal environment), and we can mitigate imbalance with simple daily or frequent choices. Awareness is the first step!

Send us your questions or share your experiences...we love to hear from you!

Recommended as a daily practice, Nasya is an ancient Ayurvedic therapy used to improve cogniton, brain health, immunity, seasonal allergies, headaches, anxiety, stress, and tension.

We highly recommend the nasya oils from . This morning I used their regular Nasya Oil, which contains herbs like gout kola and calamus that help with mental clarity and focus. Their Super Nasya Oil blend, which we sell in clinic, helps to reduce chronic congestion and also supports cognition, nasal lubrication, immunity, and emotional well-being.

How to use: with head tilted back, place 3-5 drops into each nostril. Sniff a few times as you gently open and close your nostrils with your fingers.
