This patient had longstanding Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA) that was well controlled thanks to the care of her rheumatologist. GPA was formerly known as Wegener's Granulomatosis and causes blood vessel inflammation which leads to destruction of the nasal cartilage. Once this patient's disease was stable her rheumatologist cleared the patient to have reconstructive rhinoplasty to rebuild her external nose where it had collapsed due to the loss of cartilage support. I performed an open rhinoplasty and used some of the patient's own rib cartilage to rebuild her bridge and to bring her upturned tip back down closer to its original position. In the 1 year after photo you can see how the patient has a much smoother profile line with correction of the saddle nose. You can also see how her tip has been counter-rotated and isn't as upturned anymore.

This patient was noting increasingly more prominent redundant upper eyelid skin that was drooping past her eyelash line and affecting her vision. In the 4 month after photo you can see how I was able to vastly improve her upper eyelid appearance and function by trimming the excess skin (blepharoplasty surgery) while also hiding the incision line scar in the patient's upper eyelid crease

Upper Lid Blepharoplasty With Trans-Blepharoplasty Brow Lift

This patient had significant upper lid skin excess that was blocking his peripheral vision. This was compounded by his droopy brows. I performed an upper blepharoplasty to remove the excess eyelid skin andthen elevated the eyebrows conservatively by placing a suture from the brow to the lower forehead using the existing blepharoplasty incision for access. In the 6 week after photo note how much better the patient's upper lid show appears along with a natural appear eyebrow.

Rhinoplasty To Smooth Bridge Bump And Deproject Tip

This patient wanted to make her nose smaller overall including creating a more feminine bridge slope. I performed an open rhinoplasty to first deproject her nasal tip to bring it in closer to her face. I then created a smooth, more concave profile line by removing some cartilage and bone from the patient's bridge. In the 1 year after photos you can see how her nose appears very natural and more feminine.

This patient was experiencing progressive upper lid skin drooping that was affecting his vision which prompted him to pursue treatment. I performed an upper eyelid blepharoplasty (skin trim) to remove the redundant skin. In the 4 month after photos you can see how much more open the patient's eyes appear. You can also see how he now has much better upper eyelid skin show. Even at this relatively early stage in scar maturation his upper lid incision are very well hidden.

Rhinoplasty To Treat A Bridge Hump, Boxy Tip and Hanging Columella

This patient came to me to have a rhinoplasty to reduce the size of her nose. She wanted to make her tip less bulbous and to make her bridge smoother. I noted that the patient had a very boxy tip with a significant hanging columella (creating excessive nostril show) and bridge bump. I performed an open to address the patient's concerns and make the desired changes to her nose. In the 13 month after photos you can see that her bridge is more smooth and that her columella show is much improved. I also refined the patient's tip cartilages in addition to bringing them closer together with stitches in order to transform her tip to a triangle shape from a trapezoidal shape.

This patient had a longstanding desire to make her outer nose straighter and to smooth her bridge hump and to make the tip less downturned. She also had a severe internal nasal septal dislocation that created significant airflow reduction. I performed an open and to rebuild the patient's septum and to improve her nasal obstruction. I also lifted her tip and smoothed her bridge while also making her nose straighter as best seen on frontal view. In the 1 year after photos note how her tip droopiness is improved even with smiling.
