👑 From beauty queen to community icon! Nearly 88 years young, Mirabella Seattle resident Dixie Jo Thompson Porter recently wowed fellow residents with stories from her reign as the 1956–57 Seafair Queen.

Once described as “beauty and brains all in one royal package,” Dixie Jo shared memories of photo ops with Bing Crosby, writing newspaper columns, and navigating the whirlwind world of Seafair with wit and grace.

It’s stories like Dixie Jo’s that show how elegance, humor, and heart can truly stand the test of time. 💫

Since joining Mirabella Seattle just five months ago, Taylor has quickly become an integral part of our community as the Marketing Coordinator. Her passion for connecting with people is what drew her to the retirement field, and she loves engaging with residents—especially when it means joining their classes or sneaking into a Friday line dancing session! 💃

Originally from Seattle, Taylor spent six years in Japan teaching English before returning to her hometown to start a new chapter. When Taylor's not busy being the “glue” between departments, you can find her indulging in her love for sewing, creating stylish wide-leg pants and berets. 🧵✨

With a keen eye for vintage clothing, Taylor uses her passion for fashion to connect with others—adding a unique spark to our community. We’re so grateful to have her on our team!
