We were happy to sponsor Lifelong Recreation's 50th anniversary party! Part of Seattle Parks and Recreation, Lifelong Rec brings sports, crafts, field trips, and dementia programs to adults over age 50. It was a day to reflect on how far we've come together, reconnect with friends, and included a live performance by the Silver Sounds group!

At the Washington Health Care Association’s annual conference in Tacoma, our celebrated Lead Receptionist at Ida Culver House Broadview, Paolo Bernabe, received the 2025 Red Carpet Service Award! As the only statewide recipient honored for excellence in assisted living, Paolo's moment was made even more special as twelve of our residents (as well as Ida Culver House Broadview team mates Jeremy and Charissa) accompanied him with their love and support. Paolo admitted to shedding a few tears while watching the tribute video and feeling the heartfelt appreciation from our community. The crowd broke into applause seeing our residents there, a beautiful reminder of the strong, genuine bonds we share. Please join us in giving Paolo a huge congratulations for this much-deserved recognition of his warmth and dedication.

We're incredibly grateful for Meri England and her selfless dedication as a volunteer at The Lakeshore. To honor her commitment to our community and the larger Renton/Puget Sound area, she was nominated by Chris Frere (Executive Director) and was recognized at the Sound Generations Inspire Positive Aging Awards Ceremony and Luncheon for her years of service and extensive volunteer work. Outside of her contributions to The Lakeshore, she volunteers at the Donn Pearson Renton Senior Center, has 22 years of service at the Renton Farmers Market, and 18 years at the Puget Sound Blood Center. She was joined at the Sound Generations Ceremony by Chris Frere, Deloris Dewing (resident of The Lakeshore), and Carrie Olson (Renton Farmers Market Manager).
