Tissue health means use it or lose it. If muscles aren’t used they atrophy. If tendons aren’t loaded they weaken. Current research is finding that if you want the “separation” in your abds to strengthen you need to make that tissue work hard.

“Seperation” is a mis-nomer. There is no hole. Nothing is torn. It’s the tendon that runs down the middle of your abdomen and it has been stretched. It’s structure is similar to the achilles tendon.
No one would tell you to never try walking again if you stretched or injured your achilles tendon. The abdominal tendon (the linea alba) is similar in structure to the achilles. If you injure your achilles you work to get it strong again. If you injure your linea alba…work to get it strong again.

Achilles research suggests low reps and high load (70-90% of max).

Try: Reverse Nordic curls, decline crunches with rotations, eccentric abdominal exercises, lift your toddler. Make it hard
