Returning to Activity after Injury
There’s an initial rest period after injury. It shouldn’t last longer than necessary and getting moving again is so important!!
But depending on the injury, we may need a progressive loading program to train the joints and tissues again even if the strength and endurance has been maintained.
This STILL looks like exercise and WORK! It’s not extended periods of rest, it’s not unweighted exercises. It’s progressive loading to restore the capacity of the joints and tissues.
