Bob Johnsons Pharmacy Seattle's own locally owned compounding and full service pharmacy; serving since 1957.

Recognized in 2023 and 2024 by the Seattle Times as a top 3 pharmacy in the Pacific Northwest. We are an independent pharmacy located in the Crown Hill/Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. We are one of the last remaining independents, and focus on customer service, compounding, blister packaging - both for individuals and facilities, and immunizations. We believe if good service is old fashioned, then we are PROUD to be old fashioned! History: Bob Johnson opened the pharmacy in 1957 in the same location as it stands today. In 1988, employee Mike Donohue bought the store from Bob Johnson and continued Bob’s mission of providing small-town service to a growing community. Mike unfortunately passed away in 2022, but his legacy is carried on as Bob's continues to be independent and locally owned

Please join us in wishing our lead intern Jenna happy trails!

Jenna is moving away to be closer to family after 3 great years at Bob Johnson's Pharmacy. She was our former owner Mike's last student hire, and she has helped Bob's through some major growth and technologic changes. She took charge of overhauling our vaccine scheduling, our bridge access, and has worked on expanding our travel clinic.

She has since made us proud by receiving national recognition as a student pharmacist in the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy.

We know that wherever she ends up as a graduated pharmacist will be lucky to have her - and that she'll be excited to make an impact on behalf of her patients. Thank you Jenna for making us better and good luck!

A big congrats to our owner and pharmacist Matt Binder on receiving the 2025 National Preceptor of the Year award from the National Community Pharmacists Association Foundation.

Matt has graduated student employees in every pharmacist class since 2019 and has worked to give each student a transparent view of independent pharmacy as well as learning the importance in legislative advocacy.

Matt is passionate about student interest in community pharmacy, believing that all of society benefits when the great people serve their community.

We are happy to announce the addition of Ashley to our pharmacist team!

As a pharmacist, Ashley values the opportunity to create meaningful connections with her patients and ensuring they feel genuinely cared for. She is committed to making sure every patient not only receives the right medication but also feels heard, respected, and supported. She is very excited to join the Bob Johnson's family! When she's not working, you can find her playing volleyball, curled up on the couch with her 3 cats & reading a book, baking (known for her creative rice krispie treats) or spending quality time with friends and family.
