✨ What story do you tell yourself about your pain?
I’ve been in conversation with pain for most of my life—low back, neck, knee, little flare-ups that shift and resurface. For years I thought, this is just the wear and tear of being a dancer. Later I thought, once I have access to the right care, I’ll be free from it.
And while I’ve found help, I’ve also discovered that pain isn’t just shaped by clinical narratives—stories about wear and tear, hormones, the aging process, or psychological wounds. These explanations are helpful, but they don’t tell the whole story.
I’m learning to imagine my body as an ecosystem—what waters flow here, what plants grow here, how the light moves through this inner landscape.
Through ritual and meditation, I’m beginning to see my pain differently—not as a problem to fix, but as part of a living story that reveals light within me.
✨ What waters flow through your body? What plants grow there? How does the light move through your inner landscape?
By turning inward, I can shift the sensations in my body away from the ways the world interprets them, and toward how I perceive myself—feeling my body’s strength, beauty, and unique rhythm.
