When one of our residents couldn’t attend her grandson’s wedding in California, we found a way to bring the celebration to her. 💕 With help from her daughter, we set up a live stream and threw a small party so she could watch the ceremony surrounded by friends. The smiles and happy tears said it all — it was a truly special moment we were honored to share.

We are proud to celebrate our resident, Harrison “ Harry” Faust , who recently turned 100 years old on September 10, 2025. A decorated World War II veteran, Harry enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and bravely served in the European Theater. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, where he was wounded twice and went on to earn both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his heroism 101st Airborne Division rescued military personnel at the Battle of Bulge.

Harry dedicated over two decades to military service, retiring as a Sergeant First Class (SFC E-7) in 1965. His career also included time with the Military Police Battalion and the Armed Forces Police Department, where he helped safeguard fellow servicemembers.

This October, Harry will take “one more mission” on the Puget Sound Honor Flight to Washington D.C., where he will visit the WWII Memorial and be honored for his extraordinary service. As part of the tradition, he will participate in Mail Call, a special surprise where letters of gratitude are shared with veterans on their flight home and do we have some great letters for Harry from all his friends & family and other service members.

Harry’s courage, dedication, and sacrifice remind us of the extraordinary legacy of the Greatest Generation. We are deeply honored to have him in our community. ❤️
