Lactation consultants need to get silly sometimes. Our profession is serious. We are helping babies eat, and we are often helping parents cope with difficult challenges.

Today marks a year of my medical leave due to complications from Long Covid. Helping people with breastfeeding has been my life for 30 years so taking time away has not been easy.

This baby doll has been my assistant for a very long time and has taken her job seriously. Helping countless families.

But today she dressed up and made everybody laugh because sometimes we just need to be silly.!

Have a joyful day with your family and friends. I hope to start seeing clients again in 2026 and that will be joyful indeed!! 🥳

Feeling the love may you all feel it too!

Long Covid keeps me from doing my work the way I want to. It keeps me from seeing clients and it also keeps me from posting on social media. but I still have the love from my former clients and my family and friends that keeps me going.

I really am so grateful for all of you!

I WILL BE BACK!

It’s IBCLC day!

I worked hard for this certification like many have. I had 1000s of hours of clinical experience before I could even sit the exam.

Did you know IBCLC is the ONLY lactation credential that requires clinical preparation(meaning you’ve Actually had experience working with breastfeeding families.)?

So yeah. I’m proud of my credential and honored to be able to do the incredible work of helping with infant feeding challenges.

Potential exposure sites include Bellevue Square Apple Store, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Allegro Pediatrics (Bothell location), and Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center between Feb. 20-25.
