I can't say enough good things about Flow Performance Coaching! Nick, the man behind the operation, is an encyclopedia of knowledge and experience in the realm of health and wellness; my experience with his coaching from day one up until today has changed the way that I approach everything that I do when it comes to nutrition and physical activity. Not only does he take you under his wing and guide you along the coaching process in and out of the gym, but he's also teaching you why you're doing what you're doing. When I had questions about anything at all? I would call Nick. Nine times out of ten he would pick up the phone and spend anywhere between 10-30 minutes answering my questions and explaining his answers thoroughly, making sure that the conversation didn't end without me fully understanding why he had me doing what I was doing.

It's easy to tell people what to do and promise them results with nothing to show for it, but Nick is one of the rare coaches that lives his life the way he preaches it to his clients. In my opinion, this is what sets Nick and 'Flow Performance Coaching' apart from 99% of other personal trainers, leaving no room for you to have any excuses because the proof is there in the gym with you every single day.

Before working with Nick, I was an individual who was constantly plagued with injuries and had zero idea what it meant to eat mindfully and hold myself accountable. I had zero flexibility/strength, and my eating habits were garbage, operating purely on desires without a second thought of the consequences for what I was putting into my body. My training sessions in jiu jitsu were not goal oriented and I focused more on trying to "win" against my training partners, letting that dictate whether I had a good day or a bad day.

After working with Nick my whole lifestyle changed. I started paying attention to what I was eating, weighing the risks and rewards of the way certain foods would make me feel and finding that the little voice in my head that told me to 'indulge now and worry later' was sabotaging everything else in my day-to-day, not just my time on the mats or the gym. Once I was able to control what I ate and say no to that voice in my head, everything else became easy. I quit smoking altogether, cold turkey. I spent more time outside, my relationships with those I care about improved, and I grew a confidence that I've never had before. Injuries seemed to become less and less frequent as I started to develop more flexibility, and the tweaks from training everyday seemed to happen less and less the stronger I got. Nick showed me that not everything on the mats is about winning, it's only a small part of your entire day so why focus all your energy there? If you win a round in practice and celebrate that by going and drinking at the bar and eating a bunch of crap, then you've just taken one step forward and three steps back, there's no progress in that formula. He taught me to prioritize my energy and focus on winning all the battles that happen every day with that little voice that pipes up during every opportunity that presents itself to make a poor decision and defeat it by making a good one.
Investing in myself with Nick was the best thing that I've ever done for me. To anyone looking to escape the mediocre lifestyle that 99% of people live without an ounce of awareness, I strongly suggest that you invest in yourself too and start training with Flow Performance Coaching, whether it's in person or remote Nick is the guy you want in your corner pushing you to be the best version of yourself that you can be.
