What is an IUD and how does it work?
An IUD (intrauterine device) is a highly effective, long-acting, reversible form of birth control.

There are two types:
• Hormonal (progesterone) IUD — also helps treat heavy periods
• Copper IUD — hormone-free option

IUDs are placed right here in our clinic, and we now offer nitrous oxide to help make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Have questions or thinking about an IUD? We’re here to help you find the option that’s right for you.

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month 💙
Cervical cancer is often preventable with the right care.
The two most important steps are HPV vaccination (if eligible) and regular screening.

Women and individuals with a cervix should begin screening at age 21 and continue through at least age 65, based on recommended guidelines.
If you have questions or are due for a preventative exam, our team is here for you.

📞 Call us at 206-386-3400 to schedule.
