“Yesterday I went from celebrating an 11-year-old boys birthday party with my brothers and sisters at work to responding to the absolutely tragic death of two babies.

This is the other side. The raw side that nobody talks about.

The side everyone who isn’t in law enforcement doesn’t realize happens to us... but believe it or not, we grieve too. We are humans.

You just don’t know because once we leave that terrible, heart wrenching call, we come to you and there are no tears or anger from the last call we were at.

We’re just there to take care of you. I simply ‘file it away’ as I tell people that ask, ‘How do you deal with the things you’ve seen?’

This picture was taken a few hours into my shift today and you guessed it, I had to wipe those tears up and go to the next call.

I wholeheartedly understand I’m not the only person affected by this, and there are so many people, family included, who this affects more than me - I understand that and I am not trying to take anything away from anyone at all. It’s simply on my heart to share this tonight.

I know with what’s going on in our world right now it won’t accomplish much, but I just pray you have mercy on all of us.

We are all fighting a battle that you can’t see just by looking at us. We take this uniform off every night and we crawl into bed and have to learn how to process the grief, just like any other human being.

To my brothers and sisters who are battling it too, thank you for not giving up and I am always here to listen.”

🇺🇸🏀 "Even after making it to the NBA, my parents weren’t fully satisfied because their dream was for me to have a college degree. So, I decided to fulfill their wish and graduated. But I didn’t stop there—I wanted to aim higher by pursuing a Master’s in Business. I applied to Phoenix University, but they only offered online classes, and I wanted to attend in person.

"I went to the principal and said, ‘I want in-person classes.’ He responded, ‘We can’t open a classroom for just one student; we need at least 15.’ So, what did I do? I paid for 15 of my friends to enroll in the master’s program alongside me. That’s how I made it happen. Not only did I make my mom proud, but I also helped 15 friends graduate as well."

This is the extraordinary story of Shaquille O’Neal, proving that there’s always a way to reach your goals while lifting others along the way. 🎓👏

True Story. Robbins family Christmas edition:

This afternoon we went over to our local fire station with a basket of goodies for our hometown heroes.👩🏽‍🚒🚒🎄

We came back home happily basking in the glow of goodwill … UNTIL …

Our 3-year-old — in a lightning-flash moment of pure toddler genius — managed to lock herself behind not one, but TWO bolted shut bathroom doors.✌️🔒⚡️

Enter our knight in shining badge!! 👮🏻‍♀️Saint Nick — Sergeant Nick! — who arrived swiftly and saved Christmas with a blend of warmth, certainty, calm professionalism, and pick-lock prowess. 🙌

(No surprise he was up to the pressure, he told us as he was leaving that he attended Unleash the Power Within in Newark last month!!)🔥

Happy to report all is well tonight. 😊 With heartfelt cheers for the first responders out there, police, firefighters, paramedics and all whose helping hands don’t stop for the holidays.

Merry Christmas everyone!!
(And happy first night of Hanukkah, too!)

To ALL a good night! 🌙 😂❤️

"Today around noon, an Investigator from the Attorney General's Office saw a car swerving a lot on I-65 near exit 181. The Investigator tried to pull the car over, but it didn’t stop. Luckily, an Alabama State Trooper came to help, and they finally got the car to stop on AL 14 near Browns Road. They found out that the driver was having a diabetic episode. What’s really amazing is that a 10-year-old child in the car had actually taken control, steering the vehicle to safety and hitting the brakes to stop it. That kid might have saved not just the driver’s life, but their own and others on the road too! Once emergency personnel arrived, the Trooper gave the driver some food. The driver was taken to a local hospital, and the Trooper took the hungry child to a nearby fast food place for a meal while they waited for family to show up. Big shoutout to Millbrook Police and Fire Rescue for their help too! Great job, everyone involved!
