Kristin Rivas is a Certified Hypnotist currently practicing in the Eastlake area of Seattle, Washington. As a Master of Conversational Hypnosis, Kristin is devoted to helping people THINK, FEEL, and LIVE better! Her passion for inspiring positive transformations in others comes from a deeply personal and profound change experience herself. In 2008, Kristin’s life became devastated by illness, having pseudoseizures up to 9 times a day. She had to use a wheel chair or walk with the aid of cane while wearing a helmet. After repeated CAT scans, EEG’s, MRI’s and other neurological testing, an expert neuro-psychologist at the Mayo Clinic diagnosed Kristin with: P.T.S.D., Conversion Disorder, and Major Depressive Disorder. After medications, counseling, and other forms of therapy failed, a miracle happened after a single hypnotherapy session. All previously troubling symptoms vanished after just 3 hours of one Rapid Trauma Resolution session. Since recovering her health in June of 2009, she went on to study with founder of Rapid Trauma Resolution Therapy, Dr. Jon Connelly, the hypnotherapist who treated her. She has also studied under other master hypnotists since, such as Igor Ledochowski and Don Mottin, and will continue to train all over the world, improving and diversifying her skills to be the best possible hypnotist for her clients. She is a member of such prestigious organizations as the National Guild of Hypnotists, the International Medical, Dental, and Hypnotherapy Association as well as the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. Kristin moved to Seattle from Orlando, Florida in July of 2010 where she has since enjoyed building her new life, including a hypnosis practice, in this great city. She has also since become the host of Mind Talk on KKNW 1150 AM on the Chat With Women Network. Kristin intends to continue fulfilling her heart’s dream of helping people find a way to overcome issues that have been holding them back. Whether it is stress or pain management, recovering from heartbreak, a loved one’s passing or other traumatic events, breaking bad habits, losing weight, sleeping soundly, or overcoming fears, Mind Talk Hypnosis is an avenue to promote healing for those in need.

“If you can take anything with you from my story, I hope it is the belief that profound life changes and healing are possible, real and yours for the taking! All you need to do is be open to the possibility and follow through on the opportunities for a solution until you find what is going to work for you.”

Happy Birthday 🥳 to my baby brother, who is somehow all of the sudden turning 33 today 😅 🧡🖤

You've always been at my side, either teetering or towering 😂 through thick and thin.

There are so many laughs and lessons we've shared...so many phases of life and phases of your interests that have gone by in 33 years. 🤓🦖🦕🦸‍♂️🦎

Thanks for all the ways you've added to my life... for all the love and loyalty, for my sister (in-law), my niece and nephew.

I can't wait to see what the coming decades bring you and your beautiful family.

May all families in this country and in the world be so fortunate to have the blessings and indivisible love we share.

You know that habit you swear you’re done with… until stress, boredom, or that one annoying trigger or craving shows up again? 😅

Yeah—been there. Thank goodness my rice krispie treat habit days are behind me! 😏

Here’s the thing: it’s not about willpower. It’s about wiring.

Your brain is just running an old program that still thinks that habit = relief or pleasure. But what if you could flip that switch?

This 30-minute Guided Meditation: Door 1 vs. Door 2, helps you do exactly that. Using powerful hypnotic / Neuro Linguistic Programming techniqies like mental rehearsal, aversion, and anchoring, it teaches your mind to link those old behaviors with discomfort—and connect real reward and satisfaction to the healthier choices you actually want to make.

It’s like giving your subconscious a total software update. 🧠✨
No judgment. No shame. Just an easy, brain-friendly way to set yourself free from what’s been holding you back.

Do yourself a favor and grab this one, friend. You’ll be amazed how different things feel after just one listen.

Feeling anxious? Can’t turn off those racing thoughts? Girl, I got you! 💛

Believe it or not: you don’t need an hour-long practice, a silent retreat, or a guru on speed dial to feel better. All you need is 11 minutes a day to melt the stress away. Yup. Just eleven little minutes to calm your nervous system, quiet the mental chatter, and sharpen that gorgeous brain of yours so you can focus on what actually matters.

I used to struggle with anxiety daily. Consistent healthy habits actually bring relief. Take it from me - at least 6hrs or more quality sleep + exercise, nutritious food and MEDITATION makes all the difference! 💯

This guided Sitting Meditation is like a reset button for your mind. Imagine melting away stress and negative thoughts while building laser focus—all while sitting comfortably in your own space. ✨

Do yourself a favor (future you will thank you!) & grab this MP3 right now. Then? Put in your earbuds, press play, and let yourself exhale.

Because peace of mind shouldn’t take all day. 🧘🏽‍♀️💫

I know we've all been exposed to a lot of strife, violence, and division going on in the world lately. That we've all been figuring out how to process, respond, or try to avoid it.

Thought i would share a sweet synchronicity that happened today. ✨️💖

Earlier today I was missing my husky, Seanna, whom I adored for the 12 years I had her. I said a little prayer 🙏 that whenever it was the right time for a new dog to come into my life that it would be obvious it was the best dog for me and my heart would be open for it.

forgot something from the store while out running errands so I went to the local to pick up a few items. I saw a small crowd of customers and staff surrounding this beautiful (guessing 2yrs old or less), seemingly stray or lost, husky. Apparently he'd ran into the across the street and an employee just getting off work decided to buy him a leash and collar walk around to see if anyone recognized him. The dog had no collar or ID chip as far as anyone could tell but he seemed like he must belong to someone nearby. Especially since the dog seems very comfortable around people, well mannered, knew to respond to simple commands like sit and shake and is in good health. Huskies aren't usually street dogs but they are escape artists.

So I joined this group of strangers in getting the dog food and water, making posts on Nextdoor and Facebook, and agreeing that we couldn't take it to a shelter without researching to find one with a No Kill Policy. Everyone else was running late for something or couldn't take the dog home with them for one reason or another, so I volunteered to shelter it until an owner could be found or a suitable shelter/new home could be located for him. We all exchanged info to keep each other informed about anyone who may come forward as the dog's owner.

I don't know what's next 😅🥰🤗 Comment or message me if you have any suggestions on how to get the word out about this sweet boy! 🐺

I hope we can all remember what it means to be a loving neighbor to each other and the creatures in need all around us 💕🙏

Oh the adventurous chaos of moving into a new home!🏡 So many boxes to unpack and discover where the heck all our stuff is 😅

Pro tip to turn the 🫩😬 overwhelmed, stressed out feeling about unpacking into something delightful... recommends just thinking of it as Christmas - except you're unwrapping things you already own! 😉 😏 ☺️

Way to make that holiday cheer last all year babe 😘🎄🎅

Our moving team could not get their big cross country moving semi truck up the windy, steep hills of our new neighborhood. This meant they had to go to a Uhaul center, unload our items from the truck and reload them into two smaller trucks just to unload them again in our driveway 🤪 🥵 🤯 📦 🚚 💸

Got to check them all 😉

My husband and I spent the day viewing exhibits in memory of 65 million global citizens who died in World War 2. After the war ended the US led pro democracy and anti fascism efforts. They were built on four pillars: freedom of speech and worship and freedom from want and fear. Our generation has a duty to protect these freedoms for all people and to honor all those who have made sacrifices to do just that. Government must observe due process and citizens must protest when they don't. Authoritarianism comes into power because of those who are supporting narcissistic, corrupt, lying, racist, divisive characters and those who aren't standing up against them.

Some quotes that struck me today in the wake of so much abuse from those in power against those asking for justice, mercy, and advocating for human rights, here and abroad.

“Are you a communist?”
“No I am an anti-fascist”
“For a long time?”
“Since I have understood fascism.”

— Ernest Hemingway, For Whom the Bell Tolls

“When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”—Sinclair Lewis

“Before mass leaders seize the power to fit reality to their lies, their propaganda is marked by its extreme contempt for facts as such, for in their opinion fact depends entirely on the power of man who can fabricate it.” — Hannah Arendt, The Origins of Totalitarianism

“The world will not be destroyed by evil people but by good people who do nothing to stop it. Hopefully there will always be good people courageous enough to take on the bad guys, this is the only way humanity can hope for salvation.” ― Bangambiki Habyarimana, The Great Pearl of Wisdom

“As long as ‘security’ continues to justify the banning and dispersion of demonstrations, assemblies, and encampments, it serves the decimation of democratic rights and democracy itself. Only a broad-based mobilization—a form of embodied and transnational courage, we might say—will successfully defeat xenophobic nationalism and the various alibis that now threaten democracy.” — Judith Butler (Mediapart)

“No Trump, no K*K, no fascist USA.”
— All Thinking People of Conscience Everywhere
