Help Me Grow - Skagit Family Resource Center is kicking off their 2026 virtual CME series with Dr. Paul Diekema, Professor of Pediatrics at UW School of Medicine, on January 7, 6–7pm. This session will explore the importance of trust in the clinician-patient relationship, how trust affects vaccine hesitancy, and approaches that build trust with patients.

Other topics in the 2026 series include opioid prevention, safe firearm storage, bike safety, and drowning prevention. All sessions are free, virtual, and held the first Wednesday of each month.

This in-person advocacy event in Olympia on January 23 will provide meetings with district legislators, talking points, and issue briefs to help attendees prepare for conversations with policymakers.

Join us on Friday, January 23rd at 8AM at the Washington State Capitol in Olympia for a day dedicated to advancing child health through advocacy.

WCAAP will set up meetings with your district legislators and help you feel prepared to speak up for the kids in our state. As a group, we will spend the morning hearing from legislative leaders, learning about our priorities, and connecting with each other. Participants will go to and from their own legislator meetings as they are scheduled throughout the day.

Let’s work together to make a difference for children and families in Washington.
