TMJ issues are rarely “just the jaw.” Jaw alignment, strength, coordination, and tension all affect our head, neck, breathing, and even our pelvic floor!

Our PTs assess how your head, neck, posture, and breathing all interact to reduce pain and restore comfortable movement. Your jaw may be contributing more than you realize!

Huge thank you to everyone who showed up for our holiday food and donation drive 💚

Because of our patients, staff, and community, we were able to collect a generous amount of food and monetary donations to support local families through the holidays and into the new year. We are especially grateful to those who donated funds knowing every dollar was matched. That impact adds up fast.

This is a really good reminder of how much good can happen when a community leans in together. We’re proud to be part of this one and so thankful for your generosity, kindness, and trust.

We’re excited to welcome Zahra back to the Renew community!

Zahra was a physical therapist at our Rainier Ave clinic from 2018–2021 before relocating to Sacramento — and we’re thrilled to have her home again in the Rainier Valley and back on our team.

She brings deep clinical expertise, warmth, and a true passion for helping patients feel stronger and more supported in their bodies.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her spending time with loved ones, knitting and picking up new hobbies, and occasionally wondering if she still has what it takes to hold her own on the rugby pitch.

She’ll begin seeing patients at our Rainier Ave clinic starting Jan 20th!

If dizziness or headaches are lingering, there’s more going on than stress alone.

Vestibular and concussion-focused PT helps identify the root cause of your imbalance, and then retrains how your brain and body process movement and balance so you can feel grounded again.

Peak snow season feels like the perfect time to spotlight Thuy — one of our physical therapists and a dedicated volunteer snowboard instructor with The Service Board (tSB) here in Seattle.

Thuy spends her mountain days mentoring youth, creating inclusive outdoor experiences, and supporting a community committed to representation, resilience, and empowerment in outdoor spaces.

tSB’s work blends mentorship, outdoor adventure, social justice education, and community service — creating a space where young people can grow in confidence, find belonging, and explore who they are.

We’re proud to have team members who show up for their community both inside and outside the clinic. ❄️💙

You don’t need a full workout or a January overhaul to feel better in your body.
Most people see real, meaningful improvement by adding just a few intentional movements into their day.

Here are three PT-approved basics your body benefits from year-round:

1. Spine mobility
Gentle cat-cow, thoracic rotations, or any movement that wakes up your back and breaks up stiffness.

2. Hip opening
A lunge stretch or figure-4 to counter long hours of sitting. Healthy hips = better walking, better lifting, better daily movement.

3. Balance practice
A few seconds of single-leg standing strengthens stabilizers and supports long-term joint and ankle health.

Small daily efforts compound — and consistency matters more than intensity.

If you want support building a routine that fits your life, our PT team is now welcoming new patients.

Pelvic health deserves more space in the conversation, and we are so excited to share that Missy has officially earned her CAPP-Pelvic certification. This is a nationally recognized credential for advanced pelvic health physical therapy.
