Massage Hours Change

Starting in July, I will be reducing massage availability to 3 days, 9 appointments each week, and adding yoga classes 1-2 days/wk!

For masked, in-person classes, I'm excited to try out a space near the Northgate mall, with high ceilings and two doors that open -- located right off of the freeway with easy access to the light rail, free parking, and no stairs. Classes will be $15 with the opportunity to sponsor a fellow community member or request a sponsored ticket. 7 participant minimum, 15 maximum.

More info about virtual classes via Zoom will be sent to interested parties.

The End of Packages

Another big change: starting July 15th, I will no longer be offering packages. That gives you about 2 weeks to buy! If you have already purchased a package, you will still be able to book those services online even after they are no longer available for purchase.

Rate Change

It has been 3 years since my last rate change and it's an ethical expectation to match the rate of my local colleagues offering similar services, so on July 15th my rate will increase.

Potential Massage Hiatus

Depending on how these changes prosper and how my health fluctuates, I may be moving towards a hiatus from massage within the next year. As many of you know, I have health struggles that effect my ability to massage. Thank you for your patience as I have navigated the last year. It has been an incredibly difficult time but you have made it so worthwhile to continue this work that we do together.

In case of hiatus:

- I will do my best to give notice.

- Any unredeemed credits and gift cards will be reimbursed.

- I am building a referral list of massage therapists. If you know of a therapist who is still masking (or willing to) and accepting new clients, please send me their info! Thank you!

Now is the perfect time to book your next appointment while July still has openings!

I am so proud of the work we have done together on your journey towards healing, wholeness, and movement. It has been a profound blessing and honor to be a part of.

A Bit of Seattle History

Did you know that Seattle was named after Chief Si'ahl (pronounced See'ahlth, Lushootseed dialect), of the Suquamish and Duwamish people?

While many US cities have Indigenous names, Seattle is the only city named after a person.

Chief Si'ahl was one of many leaders who signed the Treaty of Point Elliot in 1855. In exchange for 54,000 acres of land, the tribes were promised land, healthcare, education, fishing rights, and more resources. The federal government has not upheld their side of the bargain, leaving the Duwamish people unsupported and continually fighting for what is rightfully owed. The tribe still does not receive federal recognition.

Have you heard about superbills? A superbill is a receipt I provide for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Not all insurance plans offer this and some may require you to meet your deductible first, or will ask for a referral from your primary care doctor. It's a good idea to call your member services line and ask them about it first.

- Another Way to "Get Money Back"(by not giving it to the IRS!) -

Did you know? You may be able to write off your massages as a tax deduction, if you have a physically demanding occupation. All you need is the receipt. Ask your CPA!

I'm excited to share that this will be my 3rd year returning to Volunteer Park on Saturday, July 6th, for Northwest Flow Fest, a weekend workshop event celebrating movement, circus arts, prop manipulation, dance, and community!

I'll be teaching a 10am yoga class for all levels, focusing on whole body warmups with modifications for accessibility. This class is free to attend!
BYO mat... but I'll have a few extras.

Just come for my class or stay for the whole day!

I will be in my massage booth providing chair and table massage at $2/minute for the rest of the day, while the best in the Northwest teach workshops ranging from hula hoop to silk fans to aerial and more!
Workshop passes are $40 now, but will increase soon!

Happy fall, my friends!

Here's the newest news, from me to yous!

What a beautiful experience Kindle NW was!

The newly improved Healing Arts Tent came together magnificently, with the addition of Dani & Isaac, 2 wonderful LMT's who helped turn this years-long dream of a team into a reality! Thank you for all of the hard work, heart, & soul you put into this combined effort. It was an honor to build this together.

Big thanks to everyone who visited us for bodywork!
We are excited to continue leveling up in the years to come!

I also had the honor & delight to teach yoga Fri and Sat mornings before the more strenuous workshops began! As a still relatively new teacher, sometimes teaching can be scary, but these were simply lovely classes, with friendly faces sharing in the joy of movement.

Friday we had an energizing, all levels Vinyasa flow warmup for the joints.
Saturday was a chill, floor-based Yin class with long, juicy poses to deepen the release. My body thanked me all weekend. I've already started scheming on which classes I want to apply to teach next year!!!

Thank you so, so much to everyone who rallied for the early classes - what a turnout! Not an easy feat at a weekend festival. I've never been gifted with applause at the end of class before & it nearly brought me to tears.
To the folks who approached me after with feedback, questions, thank yous, to connect, & to share a laugh - you make it so worthwhile.

I can't wait for next year!
