April is rosacea awareness month & we’re here for it.
There are several types of rosacea including Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea (ETR), Papulopustular Rosacea, Phymatous Rosacea, and Ocular Rosacea.
Common triggers include: Sun exposure, stress, genetics, heat, temperature extremes, hormones, alcohol, spicy foods, exercise, skincare products/makeup. By identifying and avoiding these triggers, those with rosacea can manage their symptoms. Be mindful that triggers can vary for different people. It’s essential to find the unique mix of factors that can cause your rosacea symptoms.
There are a variety of treatment options but first we must treat the skin barrier with healing and moisturizing creams. Next we can consider the role of various prescription medications and the need to collaborate with dermatology. Lastly, we have in office treatments such as Diamond Glow facials with Hyaluronic Acid serums & laser treatments with BBL Hero.
If you have rosacea, make an appointment (booking link in bio). We can help!
