From Redhawk nurse to Paralympian. ❤️🦅

Erin Martin, ’13, an alumna of the Seattle University College of Nursing and Health Sciences, is representing Team USA in Nordic skiing and biathlon at the 2026 Winter Paralympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.

A registered nurse at Seattle Children's Hospital, Martin trains nearly year-round and uses her platform to show what’s possible for athletes with disabilities.

2025 marked a milestone moment for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

On July 1, our college officially became the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, reflecting expanded programs and a broader vision for educating future health care leaders.

Living our Mission!

During November and December, students in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences hosted a campus-wide food drive to help address food insecurity during the holiday season. Their collective efforts resulted in more than 700 canned, shelf-stable and household/hygiene items—about 550 pounds of donations—supporting our long-time partners, North Helpline and Byrd Barr Place.

This effort was made possible by the generosity of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members who donated, volunteered, shared information and helped spread the word. Thank you!
