My Why I Certified
I began my certification journey as a nephrology nurse and as I moved into critical care many years ago, I validated my knowledge through the CCRN exam about 20 years ago. I can still remember being so proud of myself for this accomplishment. I know this success helped me move forward to challenge myself in other goals. The bonus, having my CCRN gave me a hourly raise.

If you have been pondering-- attend our review course in May and let Nicole Kupchik help you cross the finish line.

What's your why to becoming a certified RN?

I have been certified as a CCRN nurse on and off since Feb 1991. As a young ICU RN in Chicago, many of my peers were active in the local AACN chapter and introduced me to the holy grail of critical care nursing: NTI. I owe these young leaders a lifetime of gratitude for pointing me in the direction of AACN. CCRN certification is a way to display my competence in critical care nursing both to my peers and patients.
