Bayview is a beautiful 62+ nonprofit Life Plan Community located in historic Queen Anne, Seattle and is home to over 200 residents living in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing & Rehab. Bayview also has a staff of nearly 200 wonderful and diverse employees representing more than twenty countries. We are driven by our mission of ‘Transforming the experience of agin

g’ and guided by our core principles of community, integrity, and purpose. Our staff tenure ranges from newcomers to veterans who have given over 4 decades of service to Bayview! Bayview is truly a community of unique individuals who exist in a warm, supportive environment. The Intergenerational Children’s Center, for children six weeks to six years, lends a special youthful exuberance to life at Bayview.

We were honored to welcome Katie Smith Sloan to Bayview today for a visit with our CEO, Nancy Weinbeck. Katie is the President and CEO of LeadingAge, the trusted voice for nonprofit aging services providers. She leads the organization’s mission to advance advocacy, enhance member value, and champion innovative solutions that support older adults.

Thank you, Katie, for your leadership and commitment for bold and courageous change in the aging services sector! Bayview is a proud member of the LeadingAge Washington and LeadingAge National organizations.

We believe in enriching the lives of older adults through meaningful, creative experiences. Our art classes give residents the opportunity to express themselves, learn new techniques, and connect through shared creativity.

Maja has been teaching watercolor classes at Bayview for several years. She has over a decade of teaching experience at local art centers and schools including Cornish College of the Arts. Maja brings both skill and heart to every class. Thank you, Maja, for sharing your talent with the Bayview community.

Bayview held its 8th Annual Rain Gutter Regatta, a beloved tradition where residents test their sailing skills by racing hand-crafted miniature sailboats down a water-filled aluminum gutter. With creativity, competitive spirit, and plenty of wind power, each participant brought their A-game.

After a series of lively heats and enthusiastic cheers from the crowd, this year’s Bayview Cup winner is Richard White! 🏆

Barbara brings an incredible depth of experience in hospitality to not only Bayview but to the senior living space. On Wednesday, July 9, Bayview celebrated the groundbreaking of its Phase II campus upgrades, marking the next chapter in our 64-year legacy of service in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. Following the completion of Phase I—which featured building-wide window and balcony enhancements—Phase II will introduce nine spacious two-bedroom terrace apartments, an expanded fitness and wellness center, a redesigned front entrance and lobby, a new second-floor resident lounge, and relocating the Bistro to Bayview’s iconic 10th Floor Sky Cloud. With a trusted team leading the way— Rice Fergus Miller Architecture and Planning (Architects), RDH Building Science Inc. (Project Management), and Aldrich + Associates, Inc. (General Contractor)—construction begins this month, with phased completion anticipated over the next 12 months.
