For more than 60 years, Northwest Kidney Centers has been a trusted partner for patients and their families. In 2025, our teams supported over 100 patients through the transplant process, advocated for kidney patients from Olympia to Washington, D.C., and earned record-high patient satisfaction scores.

We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news! NKC Port Angeles home dialysis patient Gabriele Ellis, who you may remember from our 2025 Gala video, received a kidney transplant!

Gabriele was all set to join us at last October’s Discovery Gala—but got the best call instead: a kidney was ready. Today, she’s three months post-transplant and already back in the saddle, enjoying this exciting new chapter of life.

A big shout-out to our Port Angeles care team for helping her reach this moment! 💙

Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney disease. Among our patients, about 40% have kidney disease due to diabetes. While it’s a serious condition, a healthy diet and regular exercise can help keep diabetes under control and may even reverse it.

Avoiding salty, processed foods can make a big impact on kidney health, and cooking at home is a great way to control sodium for healthier kidneys.
