Happiest Lunar New Year!

Can I just blame Mercury Retrograde for my delay in writing this year? Ah well.

2022 is a Universal 6 Year. We find the year number by adding all of the digits, so 2+0+2+2=6. We also look at the numbers that the year is comprised of, in this case there are three 2s!

With that in mind, this year will be heavily focused on home, family, children, community, balance, and beauty. Ways to make the best use of the year include making your house a home (reinvigorate, reorganize), spend time with your kids or your parents, make new friends, take a trip with your partner, spend time in nature, and explore your creative expression. This is also the best time to strike a work/life balance. Especially after these past two years spent in reflection and noting large discrepancies in the balances we have struck, this is the time to take action to balance those scales.

Spend time listening to music (or making music or dancing/singing), walk barefoot outside, sit by the ocean, visit the mountains...engage in your community. Spend time with your family (including chosen family) and take time for yourself. Fill your cup again! What reinvigorates you? What energizes you? What are your passions?

This is also a great time to get back on track with your wellness goals, whatever that looks like for you.

Now, all those 2s... We are working on cooperation, communication, sensitivities, and listening more than we speak. This is having the tough conversations, this is active listening and patience. We should also be aware of topics that his sore spots and taking care to respond rather than react.

I would expect lots of movement in the family/relationship/home realm. People may move, get engaged, divorce, have a child, or otherwise shift the family dynamics. One way or another, the focus this year is on those closest to you.

This makes so much sense. If nothing else, this pandemic has brought to light those who are truly important to you and are worth your time and energy including those who align with your values and ideals and those with whom you can have a quality relationship dynamic.

It is time to reconnect.

Every year I pull cards for each month, quarter, and half of the upcoming year. This is one of my all time favorite decks, The Light Seer’s Tarot. Looks like a pretty heavy year for me. I’ll likely do a similar spread for your 2022 numerology! Do you pull cards? Create a vision board? Journal? Choose a yearly theme? How do you prepare for the new year?

A few weeks ago we talked about how the energies are shifting towards the new year causing a blend of 5 (change) and 6 (home, family, community) between now and March. During this time we can expect a transformation in our relationships, romantic or otherwise, or in our communities. You may decide to move your home, have a baby, marry or divorce. Maybe you’ll take on a job working with children or suddenly find yourself stung by the creativity bug!

Have you noticed a pull in a new direction lately? Roll with it! This may be just what you needed to get your life feeling back on course.

Hello friends! That pesky Mercury is Retrograde again until October 18th, so give yourself and others some grace during this time. It’s best to plan for delays, miscommunication and misunderstandings. Give yourself extra time to get from point A to B, check your oil, and back up your files! This isn’t the best time to start something new, however, if something has been on the back-burner it’s the perfect time to dust it off and shine it up!

Welcome to September! In Numerology this begins the transition between the current year and the next. 2022 is a Universal 6 Year, representing home, family, community and balance. The hope is that we will start being able to gather (to varying degrees) with more in our personal circles. It's a time of creating balance in our home/work lives, recommitting to our health and wellness, tapping into our creativity, and surrounding ourselves with beauty both inside and out.

Alright guys, thanks for your patience. My apologies for keeping you hanging, school picked up again and I haven't had the brainpower to get this moving. Can I blame Mercury Retrograde from February? Seems legit. Anyway, I am working on getting more regular content up. Trying to do more and accept "finished, not perfect". I will be sharing a video covering all nine personal year types for 2021, forgive me, it's 17 minutes long! Go ahead and skip ahead to your year if you want, I won't hold it against you. ;) Otherwise, just enjoy the ride. It's important to note that in Numerology we move through 9-year cycles, which means that each year progresses in order. Meaning, if this year is a 2 for you, then last year was a 1 and next year will be a 3. More on that later!

Happy New Year! First, I wanted to give a little background on 2020 so we could reflect on where we have been before introducing where we are headed.

2020 was a Universal 4 Year which asked us to be patient, work hard, and persist despite setbacks. Our lives as we knew them were upended and we were faced with many difficult hardships, while also struggling to make the best decisions for our families and sorting through information at a time where very little was available. I think, for many of us, this gave us the opportunity to reflect on our lives and figure out if perhaps some of our effort and valuable time was misused. It gave us the time to step back away from the constant hubub of gatherings, consumerism, and activities and allowed us to slow down and face ourselves.

Think about what was challenging for you personally. Consider the obstacles you faced and how you managed to overcome them, or how you might be able to handle them should they arise again. What were some setback in your life? Were there ways in which you surprised yourself? Did you come up with alternate ways of handling stress? Were you able to modify your business to suit the changing times? Did you find maybe your place of work didn't suit you the way it once did, or perhaps you and your coworkers were on completely different pages? Maybe you and your spouse realized you didn't know each other anymore, or perhaps you found new ways to enjoy one another. Maybe you got to help your kids with something in school or maybe you struggled to keep up. Maybe you found yourself working overtime as an essential worker and your life wasn't able to slow down at all. Are you feeling burnt out? Have you figured out a self-care routine? Or, are you just ready for a change?

Take some time to reflect on how this past year affected you personally, maybe even write it down. Think about the issues that came up and the cracks in the foundation which may need your attention. Consider what came up for you, both positive and challenging. And, hopefully, you are able to find some silver linings as well, some things to integrate into your life going foward.
