We brought a little magic to Cascades at Saint Anne with a themed celebration inspired by Wicked 💚🩷

Residents and staff enjoyed a fun-filled party featuring fresh pre-salad options with Asian salad and Caesar salad, refreshing iced beverages, and plenty of pizza to go around with 18 Domino’s pizzas shared for both residents and staff. To top it all off, we had themed pink and green desserts that added the perfect touch of sweetness to the day.

Moments like these are what make our community so special. Creating joy, connection, and a little bit of fun in the everyday ✨

Spring has arrived at Saint Anne.

To welcome the season, our staff and residents shared poetry by Rainer Maria Rilke, Pablo Neruda, Marty Rubin, Kobayashi Issa, Charles Dickens, Christina Rossetti, and William Shakespeare. Their words are paired with scenes from our garden in bloom.

Spring is in full bloom at Cascades at Saint Anne 🌷🌸🌼

Our garden is coming to life with a beautiful variety of flowers, including vibrant tulips, fragrant hyacinths, delicate forget-me-nots, grape hyacinths, and stunning camellias in full bloom. Even our climbing chocolate vine is beginning to flourish, adding even more color and texture throughout the space.

Residents have been enjoying time outdoors surrounded by these seasonal blooms, soaking in the sunshine and fresh air. It’s a peaceful and uplifting way to spend the day 🌿

We encourage family and loved ones to come visit and enjoy the garden together. These moments outside, surrounded by flowers, can mean so much 💛

🐣We had an egg-cellent Easter celebration here at our community. Residents enjoyed a fun and festive egg hunt filled with surprises along the way.

One lucky resident discovered the golden egg and won a special Easter basket filled with goodies. Another resident collected the most eggs and was awarded a giant egg packed with treats.

Moments like these bring so much joy, laughter, and connection. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special for our residents.

🌟 Staff Spotlight 🌟

Please join us in welcoming our new Dietary Manager, Sharrieff Austin, to the team at St. Anne’s!

Born and raised in Seattle, and the middle child of seven, Sharrieff has always had an appetite for cooking. As an early adolescent, he fumbled around in the kitchen perfecting scrambled eggs and Pop-Tarts. His curiosity with food continued years later as a hungry high school basketball player, where he became fascinated with the art of making lasagna.

One day after school, while flipping through TV channels, he came across a PBS series episode of Great Chefs of Chicago and was blown away. Watching these chefs execute their craft with such timing and precision felt aligned with his hoop dreams, and he thought, “there could be a lane here for me as well.” From there, his interest peaked and his culinary journey began.

Now a seasoned chef with over 20 years of experience in restaurants, hotels, and assisted living, Sharrieff brings both passion and expertise to our community. He is excited to be here, dishing out joy and nutrition to those who need it most.

Our residents and staff came together to honor the strength, individuality, and accomplishments of women across generations. From bright pink roses to laughter-filled moments, the day was full of joy, connection, and celebration.

It was a beautiful reminder that every woman’s story matters and deserves to be celebrated.
