Doing slightly speechy things at Ryther this Friday in Seattle (Lake City specifically). I will talk about growing and gardens and about what Vonnegut described as “becoming.”

This is a wonderful organization and I’m happy to support them.
I will be there with books!

In places like Austria, you have a pretty homogenous culture. Not everyone is identical, but what the social rules are are pretty clear. You put your feet up on the seats, and any grandmother (Oma) will give you a look of disapproval. In America, we have so many different cultures in the same place. How do you pick which rules are good? If athleticism is good? Is making people feel bad their bodies ok? This book is for kids over 8 and their adults. Link to buy in bio.
