Even though we've gotten snow in Seattle today, the Spring Equinox is still next Friday 4/20. And to celebrate and honor this balanced day of light and dark as we inch towards Summer, we have another sound bath here at Sacred Rain. Join us from 6:30pm - 7:30pm in the upstairs gathering space with practitioner Moss as they surround you with an array of sound bowls, chimes, gongs, and more. Please call, email, or stop by the front to reserve a spot for $30. Reservations are necessary, max of 15 humans, and all sales considered final, thank you.

We are so happy to welcome our newest artist to the Sacred Rain community! Glynn Rosenberg brings her bold and beautiful style to our walls for this next season. Her bright and colorful pieces from multiple bodies of work will fill your heart with joy as it ushers in the Spring ahead. We have a new and amazing event happening on Valentine's Day here at Sacred Rain! The first workshop of its kind, and created and led by our own Renata Padilha, Sacred Connections will be held on Saturday 2/14. It will take place in the upstairs gathering space for couples who seek to unveil new depths in their connection with one another. Focusing on eye contact, breathing exercises, and giving and receiving light touch all in a fun atmosphere. The event is for couples, will be clothed, ans must be reserved for $50 per couple. It's a 90-minute event at 6:30pm, and leaves plenty of time to spa afterwards. Join us and celebrate love in a new and meaningful way!

Several weeks ago, we had the great pleasure of adding Ever Doell to the Sacred Rain team of massage therapists! They work on Sundays 10am - 3pm, Thursdays 3:15pm -8pm, and Fridays from 10am - 3pm.
Ever comes from a seasoned background of dance, movement, and somatic education that seeks to navigate stress, injury, chronic pain, or to understand the emotional landscape of the body.
Ever has availability in their schedule for tomorrow Sunday 1/11/26 from 10am - 3pm for anyone wanting to feel more ar home in their bodies for the year ahead! Call, email, or drop in to get on their schedule!

We had a wonderful holiday party with most everyone who helps run the spa throughout the year! Thank you so much to everyone who attended, those who couldn't make it or left before the picture was taken, all of the plus ones who support us daily, those who helped build and grow this community who are no longer here, and all of our wonderful community that gave us the night off to celebrate! We could not do it without any one of you, and we have so much gratitude for everyone's contribution to Sacred Rain! Happy Holidays !

We have new art from an old friend warming the halls of Sacred Rain this winter season. Nalisha Rangel returns to the walls with colorful, spiritual, geometric, and natural depictions on eight gorgeous pieces! Nalisha once worked at Sacred Rain, but now her presence is best seen on the permanent mural on the east side of the building. She is continually using her talents to bring art to people all around Seattle and beyond! She does large-scale murals, medium-scale art pieces, and even tattoos! Check out her work on her page and come into the spa to see the beauty up close!

Next week is the start of the holiday season and we've posted our modified hours for those days! Note that we are completely closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, open regular hours for both New Years holidays, and are closing early on Christmas Eve and for a staff party. This is also listed on our website and all around the spa if you need to refer back to the information. Happy Holidays friends!

Tomorrow morning from 830am - 1030am the wonderful Annika Knepper will hold her first of many classes: Catharsis.
Suppressing emotion is a coping mechanism that deteriorates our mental health and invites disease into the body. In this music-guided journey, facilitated by Habits + Nervous System Healing Coach, Annika, you will experience Pranayama, Holotropic, and Wimhof breathing techniques to release stuck trauma and emotional blockages. Feel like yourself again, vibrantly at home within your body. You must register for the class, $100, 2 hours, 12-person limit, all sales considered final.

Our most current art is from our own massage therapist Skylar Thompson! This is Skylar's second showing within the halls of Sacred Rain in addition to the bodywork she does most Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Furthermore, she has taken over the tye-dyeing of the sarongs, so any new beautiful burst of color can be attributed to her talents. Skylar can also be noted for her drawing, pottery, and knitting, and likely will one day soon be adding a large-scale painting to the outside of the spa. You can purchase some of her works, or learn more about her education when you visit Sacred Rain and enjoy her paintings in person!

This Autumn we have two wonderful new classes coming to Sacred Rain held by the wonderful Annika Knepper!

Feral Grace is a primal flow and meditative movement class that also incorporates breath work, self-massage, stretching, and aerobics among other modalities. It will be held in the upstairs gathering space every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm - 7:30pm and is $20 for drop-ins and free for active members. Classes begin 10/7/2025 and have a limit of 12 humans.

Catharsis is a two-hour, music-guided breathwork journey that utilizes pranayama, holotropic, and Wim Hof breathing techniques. These methods help the body to safely release stuck trauma so your nervous system can be revitalized, and you can feel like yourself again, at home in your body. Classes are every second Sunday beginning 10/12/2025, and will start before the spa opens for the day from 8:30am -10:30am. It is $100 at sign-up and additional waiver required, limited to 12 humans.
