Virtual Bhakti Vinyasa classes begin 1.5.23!

Happy new year! Like many of you, 2023 marks a time where I am welcoming change into my life. For the past 5 months I’ve stayed close to home, close to family and friends, and close to the things that bring me comfort. After what—I can confidently say—was an explosive year, this was the time I needed to sort through the rubble. However, from summer into fall and from fall into winter, my heart has been beckoning me to return to the practice that has been my loving companion over the years. The minutes where I am able to find relief from life’s trials and tribulations have been much needed medicine to my heart and mind. Yoga has always been the sweet spot, the bright side, the silver lining and I am excited to get back to sharing it with you.

This year I want to find new ways to come together in the spirit of creativity, connection and care. I seek to explore how yoga can heal us individually and collectively, and what happens when we no longer define our practice by a studio and a location, but by how the practice makes us feel inside.

In Sanskrit, Sangha means community. I first heard this word while on retreat in India almost a decade ago. The word grew roots deep in my heart, opening up an unshakeable desire to create a space for students to explore the deeper meaning of yoga. Taking over Suite 10 felt like our destiny, like our dharma.

Saying yes laid way to a beautiful period of creativity and manifestation. Suite 10 has a magic that helped us feel inspired and energized during our beginnings in the space. The community built by the previous owner was and remains devoted and invested to the practice. We thank you for the unforgettable experiences that came during Sangha’s birth: we will hold them in our hearts forever.

Early 2020 felt like we were inches away from summiting the mountain that all our hard work had brought us to. An optimism for the future washed over us, one shared by all small business owners who have made it through the trials of those early years. Then of course came Covid: a turn of events no one could have imagined, and one that tore us away from our stable footing as a business and as individuals–as it did to countless others throughout the world.

Quickly, we shifted the way we provided yoga, grateful to safely support our teachers and students during a very real and devastating crisis. We showed up, adjusting to a new norm in the midst of extreme discomfort and suffocating uncertainty. We are filled with pride for our amazing teachers and staff, who shared in our anxiety and who showed up with strength and care. We are also continuously inspired by our student body for their resilience and vulnerability in the midst of so much change.

The ups and downs of the past nearly three years have tested us in ways we couldn’t have imagined. There were things lost during the pandemic that, despite putting our heart and soul into recapturing, we are unable to bring back. Sangha was a beautiful space–we hoped it would be alive and abundant for many more years. We are grieving its end and we are asking for your support as we transition to our new reality, one without our beloved Sangha.

Offering reverence today and everyday to the teachers and practitioners who have come before us and who have passed down the wisdom over thousands of years, through generations and across continents.

We are forever grateful for yoga.

Protect what is most vulnerable on this new moon.

Set intentions! What do you want to manifest in the next 6 months for your own well being as well as for the well being of the collective?

Plant seeds. Nourish your hopes and goals. Say no to anything that interferes with living your purpose. Say yes to what supports you and others on the path to liberation.

Celebrate the coming of summer this Friday 6/24 • 6:30-8p☀️☀️

Join for a yin practice and sound bath to open and nourish the energetic meridians of the heart and small intestine. The heart houses our Shen…our radiance, spirit and divine spark. The small intestine acts as the gatekeeper for the body, mind and heart, choosing what to let in and what to filter out. We want these energetic channels to be open and nourished so that we can stay connected to our center and maintain our brilliance in this very social time of year.

THIS IS AN IN PERSON OFFERING ONLY. NO VIRTUAL LINK WILL BE PROVIDED.
