Seattle Parks and Recreation
Stop by and welcome Joshua Edwards (he/him) the newly hired Recreation Center Coordinator at Rainier Beach Community Center and Pool

We are excited to introduce the new coordinator for Rainier Beach Community Center and Pool, Joshua Edwards (he/him)! His first day will be Wednesday, November 5.

Joshua comes to SPR from the City of Glendale Parks and Recreation Department in Arizona, where he served as Recreation Coordinator, overseeing athletic programs, community events, and staff operations. Prior to that, he was the Director of Recreation for the Blue Island Park District in Illinois where he managed the recreation department and launched large-scale community events such as the "BBQ on the Hill" and the Blue Island Dragon Boat Festival. His leadership has fostered partnerships with organizations like the Chicago White Sox and earned him recognition as one of the National Recreation and Park Association’s “30 Under 30” professionals.

Outside of work, Joshua enjoys travelling and collecting vinyl records. He is a dynamic and motivated recreation professional with a strong background in community engagement, athletics, and event management, and we are thrilled to have him join our department next month!

MAN IN THE MIRROR WORKSHOP

Jesus said, "Go and make disciples..." (Matthew 28:19). This is hard - don't try to do it alone.

This Saturday, Sept 28th 9am - 1pm at ECBF, ALL Men are invited to come be equipped and inspired at this free event. We will grow our mentoring and discipling abilities, and connect with other men who want to live this way that Jesus commanded and modeled for us.
There will be a light breakfast.
