I never imagined I would become a doula. Holding space for women in the most vulnerable moment in their lives.

Witnessing the transformation from woman to mother over and over.

Every birth has completely changed my life and has turned this work into my passion.

There is nothing I would rather do than climb every mountain contraction and then walk back down with you. Squeezing your hips till
my arms are numb. Staring into your eyes telling you you CAN do this when you feel like you can’t.

If you are new here. Hello! If you are a past client welcome back!

I’m Chelsea, certified birth doula, postpartum doula, certified lactation counselor, wife and mother to three kiddos.

When I’m not doing doula work you can find me in the kitchen cooking a new recipe or out in the garden. I love a great cup of coffee, the outdoors, and traveling.

Doula work has led to me learn and witness about the short falls in our health system. From Conception to birth, birth to postpartum.

I’m committed to helping you experience the birth you desire, to educate and empower you to make the best decisions for you and your baby. You deserve to feel completely supported every step of the way. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be your doula.

Thanks for being here! I’m so happy to have you.

My Story

Welcome to Labouring Love Doula! I am a wife, a mother, a Navy Veteran, a birth and postpartum doula, a certified lactation counselor, and the KMC Military Birth Resource Network chapter leader. My husband and I moved to Germany after living in San Diego for the past eight years. We miss the beach and the great year-round weather, but wouldn't trade the opportunities we have had to travel all over Europe. I decided I wanted to become a birth worker after I experienced first hand the comfort and support a doula can provide to a family. When I found out, we were expecting. I immediately knew that I wanted to bring our child into the world without any medical intervention. Unfortunately, my birth didn't go entirely how I imagined it would. But, having a doula made all the difference to my husband and me. She held a space for us during that special moment in our lives. Since my first son was born, I have been motivated and inspired to help other women achieve the birth they want.
