We are so grateful for everyone who attended and taught at our Holiday Open House on Dec 14! 🎄

It was a such a joy to get everyone together, share in food and laughter, and experience some new workshops.

We love our community and we look forward to more events like this!

We love our community & that will never change.

If you’re new to us, a long time member or just passing through, we would love to invite you to Breathing Joy into The World, our holiday open house!

After our regularly scheduled classes on December 14th, join us for free drop-in workshops starting at 12:30 pm. There will be a kids craft area, Santa & Ms.Claus will be in attendance 👀 and some snacks for mingling when you’re not in a workshop!

Come join us for the whole day or stay for a little while. All ages are welcome.

We will be collecting non-perishable food items or monetary donation for the White Center Food Bank as an entry fee, but no one turned away for lack of funds.

& special thanks to our workshop facilitators for offering space on this holiday!

.licsw graduated from YTT in 2022 from THC and we are so honored she continues to choose us as a place to grow her practice as a healer, space holder and yoga teacher. 💓

Doris is also a clinical social worker and EMDR therapist, specializing in trauma and anxiety, and she’s certified in Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery and is a certified Trauma Informed Somatic Yin Yoga Teacher. Her background in therapy brings a unique perspective to her yoga teaching, allowing her to create a safe and supportive space for her students to embark on their own paths of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment through the practice.

Heart-Centeted Ones, please welcome our new owners, Asha and Theo!

“We are so excited to start this journey at The Heart Center. Everything seemed to fall into place for us to be at this point in our lives. We fell in love with this space and the community the instant we walked through the doors. It has been a place of healing and health for both of us. We cannot wait to continue to to cultivate the community that Faith has created.”

From Theo:
I have been a teacher in one form or another since I was a child. I hold the energy of a healer and bring that into my Reiki work. I am currently working on my masters degree to be a counselor. It is my privilege and goal to bring the divine masculine to hold space for inclusion, healing, education, and joy at The Heart Center.

From Asha:
The last four years have been an intense spiritual journey centered around mindful awareness towards a spiritual awakening. This awakening has been a perfect orchestration of healing trauma, finding new joy in this world, and understanding my role as divine feminine. Some of the most profound healing experiences have come to me from yoga courses, sound baths, kundlini practice, and chanting as well as my own personal meditation practices. After spending much time in India and exploring the spiritual side of yoga, I have a strong desire to share this joy with others. However, my career has taken many forms as a personal trainer, special eductation teacher, cook in the Army, and currently as a Director at a tech company but never made it to the goal of yoga instructor. This opportunity is absolutely guided, and I look forward to following the guiding hand as we continue down the path that Faith started to build this community.

How do I even begin to say goodbye?

My heart is overflowing — even as tears stream down my face — remembering all that The Heart Center has carried me through.

For the last 6.5 years, I believed in myself and followed a dream… and you all believed in me. Together, we built and sustained a beautiful temple in the heart of White Center, raising the vibration of our community. We made our mark through the boldness of our creation and weathered Covid, economic uncertainty, and countless dissolutions and rebirths.

Here, I learned to speak my truth, stop people-pleasing, hold boundaries, raise my standards, and prove that the healing arts hold both legacy and real-world value.

I shared my humanity — my challenges, my vulnerability, even my moments of desperation — and was met with love, kindness, generosity, and admiration.

In this temple, I learned to trust my leadership, to walk in integrity, and to choose discernment. I found allies, co-creators, and lifelong friends. I initiated myself into self-mastery so I could pass wisdom to the next generation of teachers.

And now, after all of it, I feel complete. This chapter has come to its close, and it is time to pass the torch to the future initiates who will carry this legacy forward.

I am so excited to announce the new owners of The Heart Center— stay tuned for tomorrow’s post and today’s newsletter.
