How does homeopathy work? That is the question of the ages!

We know it works—but how?

Well, science is finally beginning to figure that out. Dr. Iris Bell, MD, Ph.D. (University of Arizona College of Medicine) explains:

Homeopathic medicines are not conventional drugs. Conventional drugs act via biochemical, mechanistically targeted, specific direct local effects. In contrast, in this complexity model, the correct homeopathic medicine serves as a low-dose stimulus or individualized signal for inducing patterns of functional adaptive changes globally and locally in the body. The homeopathic signal (otherwise known as “the remedy”) captures and conveys a low or weak "dose" of the salient complex disease frequency information to the body, thereby setting in motion personalized…responses to reverse the disease.

Homeopathy works for all living things - plants, animals and people.

From our friends at the Homeopathy Research Institute...

A recent study from Brazil assessed the impact of homeopathic preparations Sulphur 30CH and Calcarea carbonica 30CH, on Capsicum sweet pepper crops grown in a greenhouse or in the field.

Sulphur was found to improve plant growth and fruit size in the field, whilst Calcarea carbonica affected greenhouse plant height. Although pests were present for all treated plants, the homeopathic preparations appeared to enhance plant growth and recovery after damage. Calcarea carbonica also showed promise in reducing fungal decay of sweet pepper fruits. This study highlights the potential for homeopathy to increase productivity and resilience of food crops grown in different horticultural environments.

Gotta love the data!

An observational cohort study was recently done via secondary data analysis of 278 patients visiting a homeopathic hospital for a period of 10 years to observe the subjective relief from homeopathic medicines in musculoskeletal disorders.

7.32% of patients reported 25% relief, 35% of patients had 50% relief, 17% of patients were better by 75%, 14% of patients were free of pain and had improved ease in mobility, while 16% of patients reported no relief.
