We are excited to announce that Dr. Yumeng Zhang, Assistant Member of the Malignant Hematology Department at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, will be joining our 2025 Blood Cancers OncTalk.

Dr. Zhang’s expertise in cancer immunology, clinical trial design, and rare cancers such as T-cell lymphoma has earned her recognition through prestigious awards, including the ASCO Young Investigator Award and the Robert A. Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials Award.

Bonnie was more than a visionary—she was a force of hope. After her own lung cancer diagnosis, she transformed her journey into a powerful movement that put patients first. Through her leadership at GO2 for Lung Cancer, the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation, and the Addario Lung Cancer Medical Institute, she united survivors, caregivers, researchers, and advocates to confront lung cancer with compassion and urgency.

Her legacy is one of strength, generosity, and relentless advocacy. Though we feel her loss deeply, Bonnie’s spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the progress she inspired.

We will honor her by carrying forward her mission—with courage, love, and unwavering hope.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved co-founder and leader of GO2 for Lung Cancer, founder of the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation, and founder of Addario Lung Cancer Medical Institute, Bonnie J. Addario.

Bonnie was an extraordinary woman whose vision, strength, and generosity transformed the lung cancer space forever. Following her own diagnosis, she turned adversity into action—channeling her experience into a movement that put patients first. From patient to powerhouse, Bonnie became a fierce and tireless advocate, giving voice and hope to countless individuals and families impacted by lung cancer.

She united survivors, caregivers, health care providers, researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to confront this disease with compassion, innovation, and urgency.

While her loss is deeply felt, Bonnie’s legacy lives on—in the lives she touched, the progress she inspired, and the unwavering belief she held: that every person affected by lung cancer matters.

We honor her by continuing the mission she so passionately led—with courage, love, and hope.
