In 2017 I was honored to speak, and inspire several hundred disabled people at a conference in downtown Seattle. Many of these people had one or more physical challenges to overcome to include the temporary or permanent use of wheelchairs; walkers; canes; and/or other types of braces or medical equipment. As well, some had had strokes, heart problems and /or migraines of one or many types, and cancer. I had had all of the aforementioned challenges and more, due to a series of injuries...
As I listened to their brief descriptions of one or more ailments... I realized that through the series of injuries that I had rehabilitated from... I really was SUPER STRONG.. , though I had given myself nominal credit. It actually was very rare to go through that many injuries and ever Land SUNNY SIDE UP, especially since the Doctors told me they could reduce my intensely high levels of constant, chronic pain with pain meds on the couch, until I would die from 2.5 to no more than five years from diagnosis. Their description was matter-of-fact and highly detailed, complete with test results.
😁👍.
It wasn’t easy my friends, and fortunately I had people encourage and inspire me along the way to bring me through the FIRE, Blood, Sweat, Tears and All!!!! As a result, I was around to share with this new group of people what brought me to their conference....and just how I got there....
Needless to say, the hopeless found hope and their smiles again as big as an ocean... and I was so grateful to THEM, especially when they thanked me after the conference‼️‼️‼️❤️❤️❤️😁👍
