Our goal is to provide you with outstanding support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. Emerald City Doulas specializes in labor support, postpartum care, and postpartum placenta encapsulation. Our mission is to provide you with outstanding support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period – the first year after you give birth. Emerald City Doulas only works with ProDoula trained and certified/pre-certified doulas. This is because we truly believe in the ProDoula philosophy of non-judgmental physical, educational, and emotional support. We empower parents, and provide the support and information you want, so you can make the choices you feel are right for your family. We will support and respect your individual birthing and parenting philosophies. We look forward to meeting you!

Do you have a cat🐈️, dog🐶, or other beloved pet at home that you're worried about introducing to your newborn🍼 when you return from the hospital?
Be sure to let Paula know during your intake call that you're looking for a Postpartum Doula with prior experience in helping families introduce family pets to newborns! We have many doulas who adore furbabies and will work closely with you to keep your newborn safe during this transition period for your growing family.

Winter is here 🐺 and it's important to keep your newborns nice and snug!

You'll want to prevent dry skin, try to give bathes only ever 3 days and afterwards, pat dry your baby, and apply a fragrance-free moisturizer all over. Know that goopy, ointment-like moisturizers do a way better job locking in moisture than creams. Reapply often!
