I feel you, my friends. I am a butter lover and like to go heavy on the salt. But alas, I think I have unlocked the key to making healthy foods taste robust and amazing, without these easy flavor enhancers.

The FIRST step, is to disabuse yourself of any limiting belief around what kind of flavor goes where. You have full creative license, so don’t let thoughts like “turmeric doesn’t go with basil” steer you wrong because, unless you’ve tried it and it’s true, it may very well be false.

Eating healthy is often about getting away from our comfort zones (read: comfort foods) to explore that new new. As obvious as it sounds, fresh herbs are a cheap and easy way to up level your flavor profile. Plus they pack a medicinal punch that feels like perfect alignment for even the most basic kitchen witch.
