Just got this textbook in my inbox (hard copy on the way). I haven't been this excited for a textbook in a while! Looking to level up my HRT skills and menopause treatment!

I've been practicing hormone replacement therapy for almost 10 years now and I've seen so much change in the last few years, it's astounding and so exciting! I love bringing evidence based care to my patients!

Busted out a long dormant skill today: Tan Style Acupuncture. In residency, I spent many hours in the acupuncture shifts. While I'm out of practice and now refer to an amazing and more current acupuncturist (like at ), my shoulder had been bothering me lately. So I got out my reference books out (I'm that out of practice) and got some needles in my ankle/leg.

I know: shoulder and arm pain does not equal leg and ankle. But a certain style of Acupuncture, called Tan acupuncture uses mirrored parts of the body instead of directly treating the area. We don't use this method too much on patients, but this is MUCH easier to do on yourself.

If you have trap, neck, or shoulder pain, you should consider foam rolling. While studies are admittedly inconsistent, I find it can help my pain. Have you used a foam roller?

Big announcement! I am transitioning to part time telemedicine at . I'm also joining Boise Natural Health Clinic part time as well in person starting August 9th! I will still be available to all my patients at both clinics! I'm looking forward to helping spread to more patients in Idaho, as well as continue bringing quality care to California.

day 5/6 update. Lost 3.4 pounds and lost a lot of bloat in my stomach. Had great energy days 4 and 5. Slight headache the night of the 5th, but realized today I didn't drink all of the drink. Feeling more quickly satiated when I eat today. Ate watermelon and a few soups. Feeling good. Really pleased with how easy it was and I didn't get hangry once.
