If you’ve been following Lilly Biscuit’s training, here’s a little update as we head into the New Year. Lilly has been doing great with her training and has integrated into working with a few clients, which we couldn’t have done without the help of penny.allaboutcanines. She is so attuned, sensitive, and has made leaps and bounds of progress regulating her nervous system. Shanti and Lilly continue to work towards their Canine Good Citizen certification.

I’ve been exploring being a lot lately both with my clients and personally. As mammals we are all designed to spend the majority of our time being but as human mammals we have moved far from that. Therapy in the animal environment is a beautiful way to explore being in our ventral vagal nervous system as they role model and invite us to share space and connection in this state of being.

It is with deep heart ache that I share of Therapy Dog Ziggy’s passing. He passed peacefully at the great age of 12.5. He was originally a rescue and trained in a prison dog program in Denver, CO. I adopted him from that program as a 1 year old with the intention of him becoming a therapy dog and he was so much more. He was my partner for 11.5 yrs and full-time co-therapist for 7.5 yrs.
He touched so many lives and taught incredible life lessons including:
🐾 Unconditional acceptance
🐾 Healthy boundary setting
🐾 Clarity and intention in leadership
🐾 Maintaing focus and attention
🐾 Mutual connection
🐾 Self esteem
He always greeted clients with a smile and a wag. His transition was smooth and peaceful and his wisdom carries on. Fly high Zig man. A once in a lifetime dog.
