If the Supreme Court decides to gut Roe v. Wade, the consequences of outlawing abortion are deadly. I have had an abortion. I bet you have too, or someone close to you, or someone you got pregnant. Abortion is not something chosen lightly. Because of this, it needs to be protected. There is so much more I could say.
Every day I support women in reproductive trauma healing all around the world, often where women weren't taken care of and protected in the way that they deserved to be. I am pro-choice and I am pro-life. I love life and I love babies and I know with every cell in my being, that when a woman decides to have an abortion, it is the absolute right decision for her, her circumstances, and her family. And that there is a man involved - and we all know if men could have babies abortion rights would not be at stake. As a midwife and healer I also believe that the more access a woman has, the more conscious and healing the abortion can be. There can be a conscious connection to that spirit, and a conscious releasing too. And with more access and support a conscious decision can be made.
I could keep writing, and the deal is that time is running out. Women are at risk. We need to act with our hearts, minds, voices, and money. And if you have more ideas how to ensure reproductive freedom and abortion rights at this time please let me know.
