Hello Beloved Friends,
Shiela & Taya here ( this is our first photo we ever took outside of the yurt to start promoting our partnership in all things sovereign supported birth, reproductive health and healing and the gift of earths medicine!)
Thank you for being in this space with us! We started HeartFolk in 2020 as our claim to what it means to live from our hearts and deeply connected to the earth. The last three plus years have been such a beautiful unfolding. And HeartFolk is ready to grow into her fourth year of expansion, connection and coming out!

Introducing “Relief” : Our latest edition to HeartFolk’s apothecary. Yes it’s for our perineum and bum after the transformation of childbirth. Yes it’s supportive even if you’ve had a c-section. And it smells and feels so good, we sprayed it all over during our distillation and bottling process.
Giggling to ourselves about how much we love herbal sprays of all kinds! They are protective, nourishing and clearing!

Tuesdays are our medicine making day and is a few hours filled with rich conversation and mindful practices. Weaving the folk practices of medicine making into the way we work with our apprentices is a dream come true and part of what makes our practice unique and essential. We’ve been a bit quiet here lately as the wheel of time weaves it’s way into our deeper visions for the medicine of heartfolk to further extend into the world! Stay tuned 🫀

Folk medicine is a rich and diverse tradition. These Hawthorne berries came from one of our clients trees. At our birth team meeting they gifted us a large basket of these beauties and today they are becoming a wellness syrup and a tincture. The apothecary smells magic. So many of our clients do not resonate with or want to ingest traditional prenatal vitamins. As with so much of what we do, as Midwives and Herbalists, we customize their care and their nutritional needs to be affective and palatable, if not delicious. Strength is our prenatal herbal formula that combined with additional specified supplements, herbal tea infusions (our “nourish” prenatal formula is the perfect accompaniment) creates a full spectrum herbal prenatal liquid formula.
